We all have our owe moral compass. It just really more how we shaped it as we have grown and how it will continue to be shaped as we continue on in life. So more or less we are the ones who decide what is good or evil in our eyes. Everything else from society to religion to law are a basis we build our own beliefs on and grow from there. That's just how i feel on the subject.

Everyone knows Good from evil.

Only the ones who succeed from their actions will choose which is more suitable in a given situation.

Laws do not need to tell me anything, I understand the acts of good and evil, nobody needed to tell me this, and nobody needed to enforce it.

nobody can alter their perception on what they think is good and evil, but if we truly believe in something do you really think somebody is even going to care about right or wrong? As long as we succeed for the good of humanity, maybe people would change the way we see things.

Society does not tell me how to live my life, or what is good and what is evil. Laws do not tell me that. Religion does not tell me that. While my conscience certainly plays a part, ultimately, it is up to me to differentiate between the two and determine the difference. I wish more people would do so for themselves.

It's really up to the individual. However, society has decided on numerous "evils" and "Goods", just by a majority of people feeling the same way about something.

Still though, I decide for myself what's good and evil.

I believe all of these go together in a way. Christianity has the commandments that tell us what is evil. Laws were then founded from those commandments. Example: Thou shall not kill (Murder) Thou shall not steal (Thievery). Society follows those laws (for the most part). Your conscience typically follows society but individually you make up your own mind on whether to follow that conscience.

I can't choose any one choice.

It's subjective what good and evil is. Although I have heard that good is selflessness and evil is selfishness, though one can help another and it be unwise, and taking care of yourself to stay healthy is important and necessary. It depends on context and is essentially how you feel(your conscience) and what others decide if a thing is consequently or intended to be good or not.

Other people telling me what's good and what's evil doesn't make it so in my mind.

I determine it but there is a reason why I've questioned myself. If you were surrounded by evil to begin with you would start to question it.

Neither the law nor religion can ever be reliable moral guideposts because both are easily corruptible and apt to be driven by singular agendas.

I chose conscience as the way I differentiate good and evil. It's influenced by society but free will allows me to choose what's best for me and those I think will be affected by my decisions.

While it is a complicated question and most have already answered why it's so complicated, I feel most simply that things that make the majority happy are good and things that make the majority of people unhappy are bad.
