My account has been hack, but thanks to the support desk they help me out?

Any suggestion on how to prevent this kind of problem again?

Make a strong password, and make sure your email password hasn't been compromised.

Make your password more complex.
Don't go to shady sites.
Don't download shady programs.
Don't open shady emails.
Keep your computer and antivirus etc up to date.

What everyone else said, change your pw and make it longer, avoid popups, wonky sites, etc.
edit: get a good antivirus program and keep it up to date. :)

I agree with what everyone else said, and while most of what you're using to watch Crunchyroll on are secure things, your phone may not be. Phones are more susceptible to hacking, viruses, malware, etc. because they don't always have a secure connection, or someone could oversee you using your login information on it, especially if you use it in a public place and have the show password function on, which I don't, and I always make sure of my surroundings first when I log into anything on my phone or tablet when I'm not at home to make sure that it isn't overseen by anyone.

Also, this topic should probably be in this forum rather than in General Discussion. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumcategory-391022/site-support-minor-questions There are forums set up for help with the site and stuff.

Maybe CR should enable HTTPS for the entire site.

Here is a password generator.

I hope this is useful for you.

Were you using a password you could find in a dictionary or that is in pop-culture? If so those are the first attempted. Seeing as your not that important I doubt someone would bother brute-forcing your password on Crunchyroll so they most likely tricked you into giving them your password or logged your keys.

I've moved this over to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum, since support has already been contacted, and the question can apply to other than CR.

dextroid17, another thing is to not use the same email name/username and password combination on more than one site.
