I'm a stubborn guy, I stuck with XP till windows 7, I ain't fucking moving to their piece of shit windows 10, and it looks like they wanna stick with it.

Fuck this I'm out, my next computer is a Linux.

Go Linux mint! Windows like interface but 100% Linux. Its an easy transition and is more stable than Ubuntu.

Not even close. Windows 10 is way better than Vista. I used Vista for about 3 weeks on my old machine when it came out before going back to XP.

I have windows 10 and it does some things that annoys me but I wouldn't call it the worst windows OS...... I think Vista was somewhat worse and had more glitches.

My two biggest complaints with it both involve updates.
1) Updates are forced down your throat at Microsoft's schedule. I have a laptop I've shut down many times because the battery was nearly dead for example 5% and Win 10 starts to install updates and I have to quickly find an AC outlet so I don't brick my pc.

2) Windows 10 will uninstall software during updates without your permission and only notify you afterword. So far I have not lost any essential software this way but the fact it uninstalls software I loaded without my permission gets under my skin.

I also have minor complaints about it but I'll get over with time such as terminology changes like "ALL APPS" in the start menu vs "All Programs" or "All Software" like previous editions. I'm currently dual booting Ubuntu and only get into windows for specific programs I use but some things on my PC actually work better in 10 than they did in 7.

1) The thing with this is that they have to force updates down consumers throats, XP, Vista, Win 7 all let you shut down without updating or turning of updates completely, so a large number of people most likely never got updates and let their machines become infected, riddled with malware or worse. Also win 10 is really good at not bricking your machine with updates I have stuck laptops and surfaces in my rucksake that have been updating and on batter when low. It just resumes when you power it back up.

2) Must say I have never heard of that one, what software have you found updates uninstall? It is your machine and it shouldn't never do that, unless you mean drivers and I know in the early days of 10 this was an issue for some users with MS uninstalling valid drivers and installing generic drivers.

3) Win 10 has a lot of user input from the public (Windows insiders) so Microsoft are responding to peoples opinions and feedback to improve their product.

An operating system that spies on you, makes it near impossible to get rid of(and even then...), an UI designed by people that have no idea what they're doing, issues with page files causing lockups(this was a personal one), a constantly updating unstable mess, etc...
Everything that Windows 10 could do wrong, it did, except maybe breaking your computer(oh wait).
I would rather use windows 2000.

I haven't had any problems with it replacing drivers but I'm talking about actual software. I've had 5 or 6 programs I've lost this way, one I can remember off the top of my head is CPU-Z.

It seems most of the time the software it removes is in the performance monitoring category but even so it is annoying it does so without permission and makes me worried about future software it may remove. It does tell you what software it removed after doing this so you can reinstall if you want to go through the trouble. What really worries me about this is losing software that has paid licenses that may be a pain to reinstall if I can even find that information again (luckily this scenario has not happened yet).

I'm running 10, its a speed demon in comparison to 7. That being said I'd advise avoiding it if you have less than 8GB of RAM and a fairly modern processor. No reason to put a new OS on a dinosaur. My older computer that I let friends use when they're over still runs XP SP3 because the specs are so bad that I doubt I could upgrade it to anything past 7 and have it working adequately.

Vista was a joke. My old laptop froze and crashed all the time. Upgraded to 7 on that machine, no more problems. Microsoft screws up every other OS. XP was good, Vista blew, 7 was good, 8 was a disaster, 10 is amazing. If the trend continues we should probably skip the next OS version lol

I had Windows 8, then downloaded 10 on my PC and I have no problems, really. I only use it for gaming, though.

Microsoft cant even produce a working web browser anymore... or a single app for their own phones lol.
that being the case why would anyone expect them to make a good operating system?

It all went downhill when Bill Gates left after Windows Vista, and although that wasnt cannon when it came out that was like just one mistake that was fixed in service pack 2, but by then windows 7 was out.
