I'm pretty sick of city life and farm life has crossed my mind a few times. I've thought about WWOOF-ING first to see if I'm really down. I'm aware it would be tough in the beginning, but most changes are.

Do you like the city? Do you like the country? Where would you rather be?

I have lived my entire life in the city and I would never want to move to a rural area. I loooooove nature, but rural life seems like it would get boring fast. Also it usually has bad internet.

Move to a small or medium sized city in the outskirts. Its similar to rural but without being in the middle of no where.

^Same but I commute 30 miles to work in the heart of the city; the airport.

I like to live in the city but I also have a dream to live in the countryside someday. However, as you said, it's not easy to woof and I need to learn much. Maybe if I can work and have a training in someone's farm, I'd be grateful. And it's not really matters about internet services, nowadays many countrisides already have them. My friend's relative live near the mountains and they still able to get the internet signal like in the town.

That's a familiar situation reversed, I grew up on a ranch in south Florida, and spent 4 years in FFA. My parents always had some kind of garden going, and still do a lot of picking and canning. I currently live 20 minutes outside of Orlando and I really like it, it's a happy medium in that I'm close to everything, but also not far away from nature. I miss the open spaces sometimes, but that's why I drive a jeep. Farming is not easy or fun imo, it is rewarding in that you can become fairly self sufficient, or completely if you're a vegan, but it is definitely not without it's challenges. My intention is not to dissuade you, I think farming is a noble profession, especially in light of the way most people waste away their lives, kind of like I'm doing with the whole corporate thing...

I like rural life not farm life necessarily. Farmers are hard working people, I am not.

I would be happy to be there a short while as that's a nice thing to get away from everything in the city, however I wouldn't really want to do that over a longer period of time as that would quickly grow into being boring for me
