I get $50 pans for like $5 at garage sales. Excellent place to buy anything in the kitchen cheap. Idk about clothes because guys wear stuff till it has holes.

I love both and have even stumbled across anime I've been looking to get but couldn't afford.

We don't have garage sales here. Sometimes there's a school fair that may have a flea market though this is rare. We do have car boot sales though held in some fields etc. That's like a market too. Most things are new and cheap. I've been to a few over the years. I didn't buy much since there wasn't stuff that I really want. Mostly flea markets tend to be for old stuff, antiques. I came across such a flea market in Barcelona, Spain once.

If they've got video games and musical instruments, I'm down.

I've been to both. Flea Market sometimes has some really cool Pokemon cards or something. You could find some neat stuff that's "old" (like collectibles) for really cheap. I used to steal, too! But I grew out of that.

Garage sales I don't typically go to unless I see electronics being sold. I don't buy used clothes since I'm not that in need of clothes anymore.

I work at a flea market that's held every third weekend of the month year round. Just about anything you can think of, you can find there. There's a guy that sells old toys that was on the TV show Toy Hunter. Another person I know sells new DVD's and can actually get a hold of some great animes. While I understand some people preferring new over used, it's a common misconception that all you'll find is old stuff at a flea market. Lot's of people sell brand new items just as cheap as what you can get at big chain stores or the internet. If you've never been to one, you're missing out most likely on a great experience.

Meh, I'm not into garage sales, because you're just looking at one person's junk. However, when you throw together a BUNCH of people and their junk then you have a flea market, now I'm interested. When I was little my Dad would take me to flea markets, usually on an early Sunday morning, and we would just walk around looking at stuff. Would we actually buy stuff? Once in a while, but it was enjoyable to just walk and see all the different things sellers had on the table.

My parents took me to garage sales all the time. My family held many of our own, too.

I haven't sold anything at flea markets, but I sometimes sell to or do profit shares with odds and oddities stores. I mainly do dehydration, skull cleaning and jar taxidermy as well as knife making, the last ones usually by commission though. Still going to the odd flea market just to look around is fun, theirs almost always someone with blades or dead animals to glean some inspiration from.

Not so much garage sales. They make me nervous. I like going to flea markets.

I stop by garage sales sometimes if I'm driving past one and it looks like they might have interesting stuff. Usually the only time I get anything though is if they have a table of sci fi novels, otherwise I leave empty handed. I've never been to a flea market but I'm not sure I'd go.
