Is intercourse or some sort of sexual activity with someone of the same sex necessary to prove to yourself whether you are gay (or bi) or not?

I guess this works the other way too, you need to actually have sex with someone of the opposite sex and enjoy it to determine whether you are straight. Yes or no?

The poll is only asking about homosexual sex, since most people default to assuming they are straight unless they have found reason enough that they are some other sexual orientation.

When in doubt-- design a flowchart.

The flow chart is a great way to explain reasoning.

I guess I don't understand where this concept comes from. I have no need to have sexual intercourse with anyone of any sex to know my sexuality. But I suppose for people who don't have much of a sex drive this might not be so clear to them.

No, I'll never have sex with anybody.
