My prepping strategy is to form a raider gang and take the supplies of all you suckers.

That's an excellent plan.

Maintaining a buffer of essentials will pay off. It isn't a matter of if, but when. Knowing that you're not going to starve or dehydrate takes the pressure off of a sudden loss of income, or even housing.

I don't store food or anything like that. However I always have one full magazine for my Springfield 1911 .45 handgun. My dad always said it's a good thing to have one full, even if you never, ever put that magazine into the gun.

I already have my fair share of firearms and more then enough ammo to keep me going for a fairly long time if hunting and limited self defence is my only concerns regarding ammo expenditure. I live in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, rainfall is plentiful enough and naturally occurring sources of drinkable water are widely available. And I currently have six months worth of IMPs , that's MRE to you Yanks. They all contain a heating pack and last up to two years. And can be consumed cold if need be, the bread they come with taste..passable.

More to the point three IMPs provide 3400 calories more then enough to keep ya going. And on the plus side each IMP comes with enough matches to start a fire, especially since the towelette is soaked in alcohol.

But honestly all the supplies in the world isn't going to help the vast majority of you. Most of you are soft with no survival or combat training. That kind of training is more important then all the food and weapons ya keep squirrelled away.

Lazy, but if Trump becomes president I will start prepping big time. He might piss off somebody and start a war.

Nut jobs on TV = Big No. Too extreme and a little sad.

Being prepared for certain situations and having the skills and supplies to deal with them = Good. Because bad shit does occasionally happen.

For the idiots that don't know we are currently UNDER wartime conditions:

—Under Obama, the United States has been at war for 2,687 days. That's longer than under George W. Bush — or any other U.S. president, for that matter. —Obama has conducted airstrikes on seven countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and Syria.

According to the internet, the United States has been at war almost continuously for 222-236 of 239 years. If you accept that as true, then not being under 'wartime conditions' is more unusual. So our beloved four term President, Franky D., would still hold the record for wartime conditions length.

Saw a magazine dedicated to bugging out. Thought of this thread.

My thought's on prepping? It's smart and neat but i'm diabetic, so i'll eventually run out of insulin and die under extreme circumstances if i don't starve or am killed first.
