Racing game with a lot of speed, but close to zero combat.

"needs controller or play on console"
Else you could try out the horrific keyboard controls

yeah a bit of both.
But I don't know if the other titles was like this where it floats or in a good way (or rather got the hovering part right).
By using not only directions to the sides but also up and down.
That means you got control in the air (how far and to get a perfect landing to get speed).
Where mostly only the corners and how to not brake (as one could do every corner in max speed without braking by skills)
At least I think so.

Also thats where the controller issue comes into play or mostly for keyboard with its multi directional movements.

+ that its more like tackling an ice track then obstacles

and VR, with a nice art style or map design.

Oh yeah, saw the price right now (was not before when I checked).
It seems too much to pay for, unless it had something else then its VR mode.
Would love to play it VR, but don't got it and don't really want it.

Distance is my bet right now.

Reminds me of Wipeout HD Fury that i used to play on PS3, this gameplay wise to me anyway dont look that different except for the fancy visuals.

Looks interesting but not something i would rush to play.

There are many clones of Wipeout and F-Zero, but none of them truly come close to matching them. I really wish Studio Liverpool didn't close, and that Nintendo would bring back F-Zero.

Well I don't think this one focus on being one of them (or maybe a bit more Wipeout and some other games that I also have never played).

So its not a clone, and they tried something else then what you maybe was hoping for.
But is it still good?
I bet to a degree, can't really buy into that price tag though... (even if its pretty and nice animations).
