We hear about a lot cops being killed by suspects and vice versa. As there are many local police departments in the country, this likely is a daily thing. What is it about some shootings that make it go viral in the news? The hyperlink below is what partially inspired to make this thread.

Please note: in regards to suspect and cop, the level of being at fault varies. Some examples are I find that a suspect that that did do petty theft that was not resisting arrest but killed by a cop to be police brutality. I find that a suspect with multiple prior felonies that shoots first but the cop shoots back and kills said suspect is self-defense.

If your being attacked you have a right to defend yourself whether your a cop or civilian. We just have to get these cops to deescalate situations instead of escalating them and assaulting people.

You make an erroneous connection between previous criminal history and proclivity to violence. If a person fires a weapon at an officer they are attempting murder. It really makes no difference if they are felons or not.

I am a felon. I picked one up over some dumbsh&t technicality we have in connecticut. It doesn't make me want to go kill people, let alone police.

Although i do like PE's song "F8ck the Police."

Think before you say things. Saying that someone with a felony would kill a cop is like saying someone would kill a cop because of their race. Or what kind of car they drive. If you want to say that people with violent offense convictions are more likely to shoot at people, then fine. But there are plenty of non violent felonies out there. In connecticut you can pick up a felony for littering or jaywalking. No joke.

There is bad communication between the people and the police when doing their work.
Also police should be teached weekly on how to tackle defence or locking positions alone.
and to how disarming someone in a smooth way, without opening fire or doing it in a brutal way that can harm "innocent" people.
