You know your parents and you know their personality. Could you ever see yourself being their friend if they weren't your parents?

My Turn:

I don't want to be my mother's friend. She has these moods that she get into that make me mad. I don't want to be my father's friend either. I don't mind being their acquaintances but far as friend go that is a no for me. My mommy is still cute just not when she gets in her moods.

What about you?

Nope my parents argue a lot and well get annoyed if people bug them to much, so nope not really.

If you get along with them
It could work

My mother and I have never been close and she is the absolute worse kind of person in my eyes. I could never, ever be her friend.

I don't know my father, and considering this, I would imagine he's not the kind of person I could ever befriend either.

I am without Dad these days but I could be mates with my mum. We don't have much of a mother/son relationship anyway, seeing as she wasn't about when I was growing up due to reasons (I don't blame her, far from it. Life just happened) so it isn't that far removed from the relationship we have now.

I don't think I would be friends with my mom, but with my dad if I didn't know them. In reality it's the other way around. My father destroyed his relationship with me, and my mom tried to salvage it.

Yes, both of my parents are great people, though I'm closer to my Dad.

A sister in law once commented that my family was an uncomfortable group of strangers. So I'd have to say no.

Maybe :/ ..I'm not rely close to my dad as much as my mom.. Neither one spent a whole lot of time with me growing up, usually my mom was the one who spent time with me

I don't like my parents.

We only talk because we're family to be honest. If we were complete strangers, we would have never gotten along.
