Did Love Rush get picked up or did it get the axe? Also, will Red Sprite be getting weekly English releases in Jump like what they're doing with The Promised Neverland?

Love Rush wasn't picked up since chapter 4 wasn't in it last week.

Red sprite might be if chapter 4 is in the magazine on monday

Jump comes out today in Japan(because monday is a holiday) but EWSJ only comes out on monday so their same day as japan logo doesn't fit this week.

I honestly don't think I'll be too sad if it isn't ever picked up. It's interesting and promising story elements are undermined by some very underwhelming art. To the mangaka's credit he is improving, but this really is not something I would pay money for.

Okay so this has been officially added to the american shonen jump lineup (although renamed Red Spirit)

Reddo Supuraito is the name in katakana.

I can only get sprite out of that , and tbh i think the name sprite is quite relevant to the series

スピリット
Supiritto would be spirit in katakana.

I think it was a misspelling in the article title.

Considering they changed the (admittedly awkwardly titled) Fire Brigade of Flames to Fire Force, I don't think them changing a title is too unlikely.

So, does anyone know if this series has gotten better? It's 7 chapters in, but I haven't continued after chapter 1 mainly because it didn't quite grab me.

It's great and the big strength of Red Sprite so far is its protagonist. Tatsu Frampt is a very strong lead in my opinion so far. Cocky but no too much, he's cool and has a strong personality.

The actions scenes are great and they are very detailed.

One thing that could come back to haunt it would be that it IS relying quite a lot on Tatsu's character, so the introduction of other good leads would be important. Someone got introduce this chapter, but we did not see enough of him to judge if he's gonna be good yet.

Overall I would say yes.

Personally, I love it.

It's too bad Red Sprite is getting the ax next issue. Sort of glad I didn't continue reading it, would have been a big waste of time. Better luck next time Yagi.

I think that we can't deny the fact that Red Sprite became a little "no one cares" series. After the first 3 or 4 chapters, I read it with difficulty, and I would ofter leave some pages, then read another series, and then return to finish after 1 or 2 days. (Of course this is my personal opinion, the series had a very original setting, but the way that Yagi-sensei supported it was very poor)

I pretty much agree wholeheartedly. The guy just really does not seem cut out for manga, I honestly don't know why he still gets work.
