Bruh, even before I got membership I didn't mind the ads. When I watched them they were better than any of the current youtube ads which are just cringeworthy gum and plastic bag commercials (yes I'm being serious) Stop being selfish considering you're getting to watch this for free.

I got tired of the ads as well, which is why I became a premium member. If you get a yearly subscription it's one payment of less than $60 a year, less than the price of a game. If ads bother you so much, just be happy you aren't watching on hulu.

Honestly I've given up on watching here pay or free.
Edit: Nevermind they seem to have given up on the anti-adblock messaging.

It does not cost a lot to upgrade, its like $7 a month?

And you must not watch much TV, commercial breaks are normal, and on Crunchyroll you can even skip a lot of them after 5 seconds

Actually, if you buy your membership a year at a time, it only costs $5.00 per month. It's what I do.

The only problems I ever had with the ads were when I would get the same one repeatedly in the same break. I know KFC is a place I don't need to be reminded 5 times in a 24 minute span. The other problem led me to actually start was that some shows like Bakemonogatari had their ad breaks in mid-sentence and that drove me crazy having to go back to remember what the context was.

Don't let the advertisers know about this!

The ads give me some time to check my email or reply to messages on Skype.

For me the problem isn't the amount of ads, it's the frequency. I've had 2 batches of ads for about 4min/batch... I'm on the 9 minute mark of the video. So for now I've spent nearly 20 minutes to watch 10 minutes of the video. If I get another 4 minute batch in another 5 minutes I'll just find it uploaded by someone horrible. I'm fine with watching ads because I get content for free, but that's too much. Sorry that I write in an old thread.

My only issue with the ad content here are the 20+ minute long infomercials that pop up from time to time. A single ad should not be nearly the same run time as the show its shown in.

pushing a lot of ads to the point of making a series nearly unwatchable for a free user is one way to encourage people to get a paid subscription. apparently, their strategy worked in this case.

Meh, I'm perfectly fine with watching ads. To me, it is the price I pay for watching something for free. And I haven't experienced any extremely long ad breaks that other people are talking about (though I think it's because they got some of those longer ads, but didn't pay enough attention to realize that they came with the "skip ad" button that appears after 5 seconds. Basically most ads that are longer than 30 seconds usually get a "skip ad" button. I usually press that button unless it's an interesting commercial/one that never seen before). Now, I have seen some of those long "infomercial" type ads (that are 20 minutes or longer), but again, you can skip it after 5 seconds.
