I'm a Chef and I haven't had an Anime interest me as much as this one. Don't get me wrong, I love Anime! But for some reason, this one draws me in just a bit more...like an extra push. It's descriptions of food and techniques, terminology etc are all on point and accurate to real-life, which is outstanding! Just wondering if any other Cooks/Chefs out there can relate!

Not a chef, but Food Wars makes me want to cook... Apparently there are recipes in the manga so maybe I'll try some out someday.

The cooking techniques and terminology are all on point and accurate because they have a professional chef Yuki Morisaki works as collaborator and advisor, providing the recipes for the manga series.

I am not a chef either. But, I cook a lot. It's a hobby, not a profession.

I love the show.

Hi there, also not a chef, but one hell of a cook, and I love to experiment in the kitchen.
With food, people, food!
I'd love to see an episode where they have to make something nutritious and delicious on a super tight budget. hehehehehe

MrPixxul, congrats on being a chef at the age of 21! Is your employer Purina?
JK, of course. I learned to cook well at a very young age myself, as a matter of self defense, because my mother is so bad she actually screwed up boiling some water. I swear upon all I hold sacred this is true.

Even if you're not a cook, trying the recipes would be awesome! I never knew about the existence of Food Wars until the Anime came out, so I'll have to check out the manga.

Hi friend! Apprentice chef counts! I was there once. I've been cooking since I was 13! It's a long road but pays off in the end.

Hahahah, no I do not work at Purina! hahaa. I've been cooking in a professional setting since I was 13 with my mom and dad, and eventually went on to Culinary School. And I know what you mean, my grandma was a terrible cook and caused lots of hazards in the kitchen.
