ffs, just like 3 days ago crunchyroll randomly stopped streaming 1080p, every like 10 seconds it pauses for like 5 seconds.

I've been streaming for 1080p for quite a while, ever since I bought premium, which is when I started using crunchyroll, I didn't ever use the trial version- I went straight to premium.

I can literally go stream a 1440p or 4K video on youtube RN and I won't get any pauses.

i've contacted customer support like 3 times with no resolves.

not happy, fix your servers.

tbh my opinion on crunchyroll will still be 2000x times better than [site that shall not be named that] went down for like 2-4 weeks before like what) as long as this gets fixed soon.

e-e, Ig I'll watch some newgrounds vids..

Unless you're on a movie theater screen, or you're the size of an ant, anything above 1080p isn't gonna matter, but hey, just last night some schmuck told me that he had the visual perception to see in more than 24 frames per second like that of a fucking pigeon, so why the hell not.

My internet is crap so I can only watch SD stuff. I can watch everything and anything on my phone though, thankfully. But I figure I'm paying CR for the legal anime and not necessarily for what I can stream it in.

I have pretty good and a badass PC, it pauses a lot more me, too. It gets annoying when I have to pause the video for a few minutes or refresh the page hoping for it to stop.

Depends on the size screen you're watching it on and what you're used to watching otherwise. Before I started getting stuff through CR I used to torrent everything in 1080. It's quite a downgrade from that, almost to the point of cringe.

Generally.... we don't see in FPS.... we can see frames and are capable of discerning different frame-rates. If you are telling us that people can't detect anything beyond 24 fps that is simply wrong. I know there are some people out there spreading this false information.

60 fps is butter smooth and is a good standard. 100+ fps is recommended for VR to help reduce simulation sickness.

As far as resolution goes. I agree with you on that. It mainly comes into play on larger displays. I won't be buying a 4k desktop monitor anytime soon there's no point. 1440p... I might be tempted.

I use a 22 inch screen. I very rarely watch videos in high definition, I've got to conserve internet usage since I come from a country that has terrible internet.

guys, I've been watching in 1080p for over half a year, this started happening 3 days ago.

I can watch 4K videos on other sides, why not 1080p here, what suddenly happened to the servers?

I have a 1440p screen(QNIX QX2710) and I can definitely tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p.

that post was for people who replied statements like "But I figure I'm paying CR for the legal anime and not necessarily for what I can stream it in."

it's not necessarily what I can stream it in but I've been streaming it in 1080p for a long-while..

Oh yeah I want 1440. I'm just not too keen on getting 4k as a 20" display.
