My Sony bravia has crunchyroll but it's a bit pricy for most common folk. Samsung also makes pretty nice smart tvs too, I don't if they have crunchyroll app tho...?

I have a samsung smart tv, and it doesn't support crunchyroll or funimation's streaming service. Smart TV is a bit of a misnomer though. I almost never use the smart function because it rarely works properly. It will cut out the sound randomly when I'm watching netflix and makes my remote control have super delayed reactions that can be really frustrating.

My Panasonic Viera USED to have a CR app, but gave it up like all their other apps.
It's a '10 model, so I can't speak for any recent ones, but I wouldn't put much longterm stock in Smart-TV apps. It's all about Set-Top Boxes now, so a Roku or AppleTV's pretty cheap if you don't happen to have a PS3/4 or X-Box.

I think Roku's the closest one yet.

My Roku SmartTV has it. If you scroll down to the bottom of crunchyroll you can see a list of supported devices, not sure if that includes all of them.

I've moved this over to the Site Support forum.

A list of supported devices is provided at the bottom of most site pages, and is also available here:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/devices

Support for "SmartTVs" was discontinued quite some time ago, though Roku set top boxes (and sticks) are still supported as is the Roku TV. There may be some workarounds to getting CR working on some SmartTVs but there's nothing that's officially supported.

Does anyone else have a problem on Roku TV with newly released episodes and series or is it just me? Currently newly released episodes and series will not play. The loading bar (says "retrieving") looks like it almost completely loads but freezes with just a sliver left at the end. This issue has only arisen within the last few months. It only affects newly released series or episodes. I can view older content with no issues whatsoever. I used to have no issues viewing simulcast or newly released material at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, you aren't alone... /forumtopic-985557/stuck-on-retreiving?pg=1#55969333

My Roku-3 separate standalone box still works, as does my Amazon Fire TV stick (but that has an annoying bug. Still it does play episodes the the TV doesn't)

A workaround that I was using, was to link my CR account to one I made on VRV.co (no additional subscription is required for just the CR channel there after linking). After most of a day, the link took hold, and then I could watch the Crunchyroll channel on VRV through the VRV Roku app.

I'm pretty much using my FTV stick now, though. I'd prefer to use the Roku-3 because it is less buggy, but someone else in my family took it.

Unfortunately I am rural and using a T-Mobile 4G Internet access. Crunchyroll is not counted against my data allotment. VRV would count against my data allotment if I stream it. I can still watch new content on my iPhone, but I really don't like to need to hook my phone to my TV in order to watch new content on a larger screen. It is inconvenient to constantly be getting up to change episodes, etc. The main annoyance in this situation is that previously it worked fine. The fact that it is only newly released content that will not display correctly is bizarre. I do not understand why the encoding on new episodes versus old episodes would make a difference. Likewise old episodes of new content display fine! The current season of "My Hero Academia" Will not play at all, but the previous season (which at the time it was released had the same issue) now plays with no issues…

It really does not make any sense why episodes that previously could not be viewed can now be viewed ( assuming that the files are not changed to a different format after a certain period of time for whatever reason).
