This better bring also more Anime to the Netherlands, when do they realized we exist. There are literally no distributors here, and if we would get it from Germany they would have German subs. On that regard we don't need localized subs, we know enough of the English language to understand what is going on, heck even allot of games don't have Dutch translations.

More on topic though, It's a good thing in my opinion so these two don't have to fight over distribution rights but that only mostly will affect US.

These animes will never be avaiable in Brazil? (this question includes Gurren Lagann )
I'm also curious to know if Mirai Nikki and One Punch Man will someday be in Crunchyroll and avaiable in Brazil too.

Gurren Lagann is Aniplex so it wouldn't be affected by this at all. And One Punch Man is Viz so that would also not be affected by this at all either. The only one is Mirai Nikki would like show up on CR.

But Gurren Lagann is already in CR, it's just blocked in BR, I really would like if they could unblock Gurren Lagann and Cowboy Bebop. Mirai Nikki and the others are just plus hahaha, but I really want to know if someday it ill be avaiable in Brazil.

OPM tem no Daisuki em PT-BR ._.

With this partnership are you going to be updating the apps, such as the PS4 which has had major bugs since its start, such as missing subtitles, or the show cutting off the last 10 to 30 seconds?

Can somebody tell me if I got this right.

CR will get FUNI titles but only the sub version.
FUNI will get the CR titles but they will only dub it?

Yes.

So I want to be clear on something. Is Crunchyroll going to be the place to watch SUBBED anime, and Funimation the place to watch DUBBED anime? Because if that's the case, I'll cancel my Funi subscription. I cannot tolerate watching anime in English.... >.>

That's the plan, but I doubt it will be a pure 100% Sub CR, 100% Dub Funi. Basically both sites had what the other wanted and the deal they both made here was a really good win-win for each company. Both sites have big-names series that each of them want for their own reasons.
-CR's weakest point is that it needs more high-profile subtitled series to attract more people to the site, series that Funi has.
-Funimation's weakest point is that nobody pays them for their free Subbed series, nor will they since people only want their Dubs.

Basically each companies weakest point was exactly what the other wanted and it was kind of a perfect trade.
So CR is acquiring loads of new Subtitled series, but not many dubs. Funimation is acquiring loads of new licenses for them to dub, but giving up most (maybe eventually ALL) Subtitled series as time goes on and licenses get slowly handed over.

As far as I see it, there is an important question missing in the FAQ. How long will we have to wait until this partnership also beneficts users living outside the English speaking countries? How long it will take to Funimation to see that we exist and watch anime, too?

That benefit will primarily come in CR and Funimation no longer competing for simulcasts going forward.

For library titles, there will only be what countries were covered by Funimation's original license, as it often isn't cost effective to go back and renegotiate a license expansion for a library title.

There is also the situation where even if Funimation had a license that covered countries where English isn't a common language (i.e., Latin America), it is highly unlikely their licensing included language rights other than English. While it may not cost as much as negotiating for a full series license, it isn't free, so doing so would depend on the perceived popularity of a title, and the ease (or lack thereof) of working with the publisher.

My question is about Funimation's simulcasts: Their FAQ says simulcasts will be DUBBED and delayed a couple weeks. Does that mean the same simulcasts will be delivered live subbed on Crunchyroll? Or are subbed versions on blackout for 2 weeks?

This is awesome. The Funimation user interface for streaming online and on Roku is HORRIBLE. I hate the way their queue is formatted. Crunchyroll is at the top of the game when it comes to delivering content in a very user friendly way.

i have a question concerning crunchyroll's catalog avalaibility in Canada:

A few month ago, the catalog got locked down under the subscriber-only, so will they ever unlock it back for non-subscribers but with ads like before?

Given that Funimation's library didn't have this restriction, I expect their sub-loving free viewers in Canada aren't going to happy when they run into this restriction.

Unfortuantely, Funimation's own forums have been offline for a while now (and probably won't be available until they finally launch their new site for the US & Canada), so there isn't any way to discuss it there except to make a comment about it in their blog post about this partnership.

Anime that were dropped by FUNi before they were completely dubbed or got pretty far.
What pops into my head, for example, is Crayon Shin-chan, Big Windup (season 2 though that's sort of being handled by Nozomi now), Case Closed (there's a huge gap of what was released and where CR picked up), and Kodocha.

I understand your frustration and that you want to be heard, but please stop crossposting this same support issue into multiple threads--especially those that are not intended for site tech support.

Short answer:

If it has subs, and Funimation currently has streaming rights, yes, eventually they will.

More detailed answer:

While CR can be expected to get these, don't expect CR to finish them, as that would require the same procedures and costs as CR licensing any other library title. For CR to go to that expense, the title would have to prove popular enough to justify it.

Also, if any of these titles happen to stream even to subscribers on Funimation's site, or be available only on certain devices (or only on the website), that denotes special circumstances to the license, and those titles might not be available on CR. Fortunately, there are very few of those. (In fact, two that I knew of had already expired, and one was already licensed by CR).
