Earlier today, I got an email telling me how Funimation cancelled my recurring payments. I didn't make much of it, since I was going to do it sooner or later. However, I went to login to their website and noticed that they said I requested the cancellation? In no way did I make such a request. So, I did what any wise individual would do. Change my password. I put in my current password, then put in my new one. I went and clicked save and...I got logged out. I tried logging back in w/ my new password, it tells me it's incorrect. I tried my previous password, it tells me it's incorrect...I'm like, how on Earth is this happening? I didn't even get an email saying my password has been changed or anything of the sort. So, I went and did the recovery process. Got my account back, and went to try and and change my password again. It did the same thing. It logged me out and told me both passwords were incorrect. So, now I start getting nervous. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my main anti virus and malwarebytes for added protection. I ran both a quick and a full scan on both and they came up w/ absolutely zero threats. Now I'm scratching my head...because I am so confused. I went and recovered my account, yet again, and was going to try and create a thread on their forums addressing this issue. Their forums aren't even working! I keep clicking forums, but it just keeps taking me back to the home page. I am very confused right now and have already sent an email, but knowing Funimation, they won't get back to me for at least a week like last time. Please tell me I'm not the only one having this issue? This is beyond weird...

Edit: I noticed on their twitter that they said they're having downtime at 4 PM CT, does that have anything to do w/ what I'm experiencing?

I'm guessing what happened is that you had a Sub-Only Subscription. With the new partnership with CR announced today, they have immediately gone to a single plan only -- All Access (at a lower rate than it used to be). Anyone who had a Sub-Only has been upgraded to All Access through the end of the period they paid for (and should get 60 days on top of that -- at least if you were paying monthly), but the membership will not automatically renew. That's to prevent you from getting automatically resubscribed at the higher rate (which would piss people off and be unethical)--if you want to keep the membership beyond the current end date, you'll need to resubscribe.

Does that seem to describe your basic situation?

I haven't had any trouble logging in, but I didn't try changing my login info either. The forums have been missing for weeks.

I've moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum.

I was paying a yearly subscription for their subtitled only plan that they offer for 40 dollars a year, but then I got the email that they cancelled my recurring subscription this afternoon. If Funimation is cancelling subscriptions because of this new merge, then that makes sense. However, me having to constantly recover my account is more of a concern now. Is it just a bug w/ their system? Every single time I try to change my password and hit save, it logs me out and none of my passwords work anymore.

Much appreciated. I don't have any trouble logging in either, but it's when I try changing my password I have the issue. Can you try testing it for me Lorreen to see if it's not just me?
