If you can recall all the way back as far as you can to your childhood - up until now, can you remember how many times you've moved in your life?

Do you or did you love or hate moving?

Was there any particular move that changed your life significantly?

I've only moved once in my life at the age of 3 and that was because of bad neighbors but boy was it the right choice, property went through the roof in pricing.

I have moved more than a dozen times, I think. It's okay, I guess. No, not really.

Before I lived on the sea? If I don't count within same state moves, at least 8 times. Otherwise... umm, a lot.

How did it affect me? I don't know. I guess it was like I never had the practice of keeping a close friend over the years. I guess I found myself lacking normal social skills. On the positive side, I was exposed to several dialects of English and many variants of American culture.

I've moved 6 times all around the U.S. Not necessarily because I wanted to, but you gotta go where the jobs are.

Too many! I moved around a lot with my parents from age 4 to 16. From Southern California to Fujieda to Tokyo to Jakarta to Paris then back to Tokyo again until we finally settled back in Southern California. When I went to college I moved to Northern California until now that I'm in grad school.

It impacted me mostly in a positive way. When I was a kid I always got very excited when we had to move to a different country, it was so exciting to go to a foreign land, meeting new people, learning new languages and cultures. But on the other hand it also sucked to leave your friends behind, and to always be the new kid in your class.

All these people, all these wonderful people who are likely fellow military kids, who pack up and move every 3 years and have no long lasting friends or hobbies or consistency growing up. You are my people lol

More than 25 times.
Not more than 40 times.

When I got old enough to realize that I wasn't dependent on my parents, I disowned them and left. My life began to stabilize after that.

14 times. While moving itself is a pain in the posterior, this last move has certainly been the best. Got my wife, daughter and I away from some really negative family situations.
