I personally love the 1970's one, the original because I watched it has a kid and it just has this feel to it that the new ones don't have. The latest series pissed me off because they had like box faces, you can't do that to a classic.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Mysteries Inc. and like you, I also grew up watching most of the classic Scooby Doo shows.

First the characters are great together and how they work well with other sub-characters (those they meet and the "ghosts")
Also the locations often seem to be pretty nice as well.

Some interesting solutions at times, and pleasing to watch the whole episode when going for it.

They used to have it on cartoon network but then that channel got stupid, part of the reason why I got rid of the TV in my room, all the shows are crap now.

Along with "Superfriends", it was perhaps my favorite Saturday morning show. When I watched reruns on Cartoon Network back in the day, it was amazing how this show had so much plot for a cartoon series. A lot of the same storylines could have been done for a live action prime time show, without the meddling kids and the great dane of course. I also love how todays fanart has given twists for the various characters from Daphne holding a bloody sword after killing zombies or Velma being turned into the hot glasses girl.
