Ya never ran a VR capable pc for more then five minutes if you think a fan and heatsink can cut it. Liquid cooled or bust not to mention a liquid cooled set up takes much less space and makes much less noise. Also VR headsets are not the easiest thing to get going driver wise. God knows I made a few costly mistakes getting mine running..Then letting it collect dust after I got bored with.

I don't care for Virtual Reality. I was pretty sure we were just talking about regular gaming since a quad core is more than capable for just gaming. Hell, I'm pretty sure it's capable for certain VR's as well. Do you not know what a heatsink is? A heatsink is any cooler you wish to cool down your CPU. A heatsink can either be a liquid or an air cooler. It's not strictly an air cooler. I don't know anything about VR's since I have no interest in them. They are in the early stages, so it's sort of expected for early adopters to experience weird hickups.

.

And pray tell why do you think I was talking about a PC capable at best of medium to high settings? Graphic and performance wise a PC at those gaming settings isn't doing anything a Xbox One S or a Playstation 4 Pro can't do gaming wise. And a gaming pc at those settings is more hassle and higher cost then it's console competition.

In order to impress anyone a gaming PC has to outperform consoles not equal them. And that means high end and ultra max settings. And that means a much higher cost and much more hassle compared to consoles. Also that means a much more rigorous upgrade regime to stay ahead of the curve.

Debatable.

Yes, if you want a gaming PC being able to outperform a console, you'll need to spend about 700-1000. You don't need ultra settings. These consoles are barely putting out high in the first place, most of it being medium. And some are even on low. Sony and Microsoft have already started to experiment w/ incremental upgrades. I hope you know this scorpio Microsoft is boasting won't be as much as the pro. In fact, it'll probably be around the 600-700 dollar price range. You might as well build a PC if this is what consoles have evolved to.

Yes consoles are not any serious competition to a high end gaming PC..yet I may add. After all we have in the span of 16 years gone from the original Xbox and PS2 to the Xbox One S and the PS4 Pro.. Without I may add a very serious price increase or a decrease in plug and play capability. PC software and hardware on the other end is very expensive at the high performance end of things. And to get the best of said hardware and software requires custom building and installing by the user

Good thing I plan on getting it for Xbox One. Sony has really been losing my interest lately.

Way to shoot yourself in the foot, Sony. I wonder what the exact reason they won't allow it for is?

half of me thinks its a technical reason (there was a weird thing were you could only download very small mods on the fallout thing they were trying so they just said never mind) the other half of me thinks that Sony thinks that it may lead to someone hiding malicious files in the mods and then you load up the mode. open a fridge 3 times on a Wednesday and it executes and now you can play free games. I'm just being paranoid o-o

It wouldn't be without precedent, they removed the ability to run Linux on the PS3 over similar fears.

I'd personally like to hear Sony's response to this. I love Bethesda. I do. The Elder Scrolls is one of my favorite gaming series and Fallout is pretty awesome too for me. But Yeah, I'm guessing there is an exploit or something else at play here that is holding up Mod support. So. Until I hear both sides of the story, I'm taking this with a grain of salt because this seems oddly timed right after the Pro reveal and may very well be viral marketing against Sony.
