If you don't care about mods, sure. It'll most likely be full HD w/ 60 frames per second and overall, it'll look just as good as the vanilla PC version.

yeah like he said, its the game without mods.
Sadly the game is better with mods (fixes a lot of stuff and makes it more enjoyable).
As the world can take very loooong to walk through (at least there are some uniqe ways to gain fast travels).
Else without mods... the game becomes a bit dead and boring at times as it can really enchant your experiance... if they work at all...
(some mods are poorly made and can take 2x or more power to run then what you get out from it)

If im not mistaken PC gamers get the remaster for free if they already own Skyrim. Don't quote me on it I just recall hearing it. I don't car what game it is 80% of the time mods will beat any remaster. I remember Dishonored remaster 1080p 30fps... thats a joke even low end graphics card can run that game at 4k

True but in typical Bethesda fashion its mostly not the case. It's pretty much proven that HD 2k textures in Fallout 4 are more optimized then the games default textures.. Kinda sad

You get the remaster if you own Skyrim and the DLC altogether, other than that you'll have to pay. If you don't care for mods, I say go for it. I know mods make it better (If done correctly) but its best just to play as it is. Its just my opinion but modding on PC is a pain to guess what mods work and what doesn't.

Sometimes I hate getting a mod that needs a mod and it keeps going. I know I have this on PC but I still getting it on ps4, mods or not.

Maybe some got some deals, but mostly it would cost as it could be easier to download but as a addon? (anyway is the remaster any...good? PC game with mods must be better?)

Sure sometimes the skills of other people have more knowledge in some areas where thing can become much... much better.
Fixing meshes, textures/seams, colors, sounds to sound systems, equipment, quests, terrain.

Ew Xbox.... Anyways I really really really wouldn't get it if its on a console game. Do you have PC? Its way better, graphic wise and the speed less glitchy etc. The PC can better handle those games v_v if you do have that I would say its worth it, its a great game ^-^

Really just depends on how you feel about them. Most mods just add aesthetics and that's subjective. Some people really just like the fault vanilla gameplay. They see it as lore friendly and anything else just takes away from that experience. I have Skyrim with some mods but I'm not huge on open world games. I do however play Fallout with some 2-4k mods and I generally like them. To me it's just more visually pleasing but it's a downhill slope in a way. Once you really start to "build" the world you want for a game your never really fully capable of replacing all the textures. Sounds petty but when everything around you looks beautiful and you run into a car or worse roof on Fallout 4 it really people's me out the the immersion it's highly noticeable.

Also I looked into it and I found a link regarding the free remastered version of Skyrim for PC players who own the current base game

While there are some truly talented modders out there I can't really say that's the case. The problem with Bethesda is the "Creation Engine". It's a old out dated engine that renders far more then it needs to. A lot of new engines can tell what's in your viewing distance and only load those assets. Creation Engine just loads everything around you. For example Bethesda loves to stack textures. They will place needless stuff like very large bodies of water under the ground just to have a small little lake/stream on the surface. Your forced to run this and it degrades your performance. Most modders do not do layers, instead they will use high quality textures while also removing Bethesda's texture layers.

The mods have a higher performance impact texture for texture vs the stuff Bethesda uses but due to how they stack textures it all adds up to being ultimately less then the default textures. That's why you are able to run high quality gravel, water, soil, trees, road textures at 2k with better overall performance since they over ride Bethesda's stacked textures.

The remaster is just a bad ploy.
You can get the same graphics infact better graphics on PC withvery few mods, (like 2 or 3).
Plus the remaster I'm just gonna assume you're going for console only offers 4 gigs in mod space. That is literally nothing when you start using mods.

True, many of my friends where joking around when they announced a remaster saying the PC version was already the definitive edition (with mods).

With such limited space you're gonna miss on the best stuff like Requiem or Endrel plus so much more.
SO MUCH MORE. Plus like at least 9 of the best custom followers ever and all the new quests and dungeons that are actually interesting.
Skyrim for console is literally a joke and a bad game. Gigs of mods give the game endless life. 4 gigs won't do that.
