So, this silliness was trending over the week.

http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2016/sep/09/boycott-nfl-colin-kaepernick-flag-protest/

I'm betting 95% of these people will still tune in tomorrow.

Kaepernick has the right to do what he is doing.

While some people think that dissent is unpatriotic, I would argue that dissent is the highest form of patriotism. In fact, if patriotism means being true to the principles for which your country is supposed to stand, then certainly the right to dissent is one of those principles. And if we’re exercising that right to dissent, it’s a patriotic act.

Protesting an organization's choice to allow someone to protest during a tradition that honors the flag of the country that allows us to protest, America.

To take a stand (or in this case sit) for the thing that flag is supposed to stand for and represent is not disrespecting the flag. It is shows greater loyalty that very flag. As Americans bound by are ever evolving belief of freedom it is sometimes necessary to do thing that may be seen as controversial to bring attention to a largely ignored injustice to a minority of the american people. Any American who believes our views of freedoms are the exact same as those of the founding father is incorrect. Are culture and values have changed greatly over the last 200+ years mostly for the better, however we as a people need recognize that we still have along way to go. While the demons of are slave owning past may largely have been laid to rest, the demons of racial inequality and prejudice are still very much alive and affecting large groups of Americans to this day and not for the better.

As someone who spent quite a few years in the military, using your right to protest injustice is about as American as you can be. Fully support what he is doing even though i dont really care for football lol
