ReCore is an upcoming third-person action-adventure game. It's got some noteworthy talent behind it: Joe Staten of Halo fame, Keji Inafune creator of Mega Man, and Armature Studios the team behind Metroid Prime 3.

It comes out this week and looks pretty cool. Here's a little preview I put together for the game:

ReCore Gameplay Preview - What is ReCore?

What do you guys think? Are you gonna pick it up?

Doesn't look interesting. It didn't even grasp my attention at E3.

lol!

I guess Might No. 9 left a real bad taste in everyones mouth. I'm still going to give it a fair chance, because... well... Mega Man.

Just reading the name Keiji Inafune makes me really hesitant to try this, but it looks really fun and interesting to me, so I'll wait for the reviews to come out.

I for one am willing to give ReCore a chance.

Inafune's reputation aside, much of the game's tepid reception from critics seems to center on the numerous bugs, technical issues, and long loading times experienced upon its release, while ReCore's actual story and gameplay elements remain solid, and those are two major things no patch can fix. Like fine wine, ReCore should certainly get better with age.

Besides, it still looks better than Mighty No. 9 and No Man's Sky!

I was interested in the game, checked out some reviews of it, heard the campaign is only 6-8 hours long. So I'm going to hold off on it probably pick it up during a Black Friday sale or something.

I had heard 15 from one of the developers, plus even longer with some side missions/optional quests. I played about 80 minutes last night, and the movement and combat feel pretty good, though I'm still getting used to the combat mechanics. The load times are a bit annoying, especially since the primary developer was founded by former members of the studio that developed Metroid Prime (the first game handled loading scenes very naturally, in my opinion), but that's not yet enough to make me regret paying $40 for the game.
