Does anyone work in here? It's summer vacation in most of the place we live in. And I think many people here in CR chose to spend the vacation working or attending summer school and or just slack the summer itself. Some of my friends work, and most of them just complain about everything about their job .

Actually, I want to work, I wanted to make my own money and buy things that I want using my own hard-earned money. But sadly, my dad don't want me to. He keep on saying I might regret it. But I'm telling him that it's not for the money, I just wanted to try something new. Then he just said "I'll increase your allowance, you don't need to work, if you want something, just say it." Well, now, at my age, I am really ashamed asking my dad for money when there is something I want. My grandpa told me before "If you want something, work for it". I want to try his words, but I can't get the chance. Ah well. So I'm spending my summer vacation being rebellious and going away from home and coming back after a week or two. I was gone for 13 days 5 days ago. And now I'm grounded. I told my dad "You know, I think this probably didn't happen if you agreed about what we talked about before summer starts". I just laugh it off...

So tell us about it! Where do you work? How is it? Why did you choose to work? Are you cool with it? What do you do with your salary? Etc. etc... If you want, tell us your opinion about getting a job. Is getting a job a good goal for teenagers?

-Keep it clean

Ah, I long for the days when I could just spend my summers lounging .

I also long for the days when there were was a more even ratio of teenagers - adults on here.

No way, I'm a full time student at the university. I rather not be distracted in my studies. The extra cash would be nice, but not worth stressing me out over

I have a casual job, it's easy to fit it in with uni.
I get shifts at a book factory. It's boring, but it has alright pay and I get free books.
