I think it only matters if you are comparing the relationship to someone else's relationship. Why would you do that? (barring illegalities)

Imagine this: only the two of you floating in outer space. No one else for eons, in fact not even memories of anyone else. Is the question still relevant?

....Right. Except we live on a planet called Earth surrounded by millions upon millions of people, not some made up fantasy world. So yes, the question is still relevant. I don't think a dad of a 13 or 14 year old child would be very happy knowing there's a grown adult trying to mingle w/ their kid.

As long as both parties are of legal age, who am I to judge?

so the question is really, "What will other people think if I have a love affair with someone and there is an age gap?"

I just don't think other people's opinions matter in that case. It's like walking up to someone and saying, "You two lovers! Stop being in love. I don't approve."

But I believe in true love, which is not made, but discovered!

The question is is it okay to have a decent age gap or whatever age gap in a relationship via if you think 6 year is idk good or too much of a gap. Not affair ness scarily ~

If that age gap is 18+, then it's fine. I know other countries and certain states in the U.S differ, but I still stand by the age of consent being 18, not some ridiculous age like 13 when their brain is that of a child's still. Also, I don't believe in love affairs. If you're not happy w/ the woman or man you're with, then go your separate way w/o hurting the other person when/if they do find out.

I just don't think other people's opinions matter in that case. It's like walking up to someone and saying, "You two lovers! Stop being in love. I don't approve."

No, they do matter when that person is still a kid. The parent has every right to be strongly against it, it's their child for crying out loud. A kid cannot be in love w/ a grown adult. Their brain hasn't fully developed yet and they have the mentality of a child. Have you ever tried talking w/ a 13-16 year old? Try talking w/ one the next time you see one. The gap in maturity level is vastly different compared to a typical adult's. Nine times out of ten, it's the manipulation that rubs off on the kid into thinking they love that person, when in reality, that adult is just looking to bang a minor.

But I believe in true love, which is not made, but discovered!

True love is when two consenting adults have a grasp on reality and are not stuck thinking about what to wear to school tomorrow. That's all I have to say on this matter, and you should agree.

Not sure why "lemontitties" keeps mentioning underage people, but hey, his name is "lemontitties", can't really expect greatness. The question is "How do you feel about age gaps?" Not "How do you feel about underage?"

I think kids are kind of too young to fall in love, nature kind of takes care of that for us.

But I believe in a yogi kind of love.

first chakra love - sex
second chakra love - control, power
first & second - control, power & sex!

third chakra - emotional, what most people *Think* love is
third, second & first - emotional control sex!

ok, you get where that's going

but fourth chakra is where love is
love is something entirely different
WAY DIFFERENT
like you know it when it happens
like being in a million thunderstorms compared to a golf clap
it's a big difference

fifth & sixth chakras are for God

So true love is ALL THE CHAKRAS! WOOOOHHOOoOOOOOOOOO!

Maybe because you replied back to me vaguely of not caring about age gaps? That's telling me you don't care if they're underage, so of course I'm going to bring it up. My username has nothing to do w/ this topic, what does greatness have anything to do w/ anything? Yes, that is indeed the question of this topic. However, the way you responded back to me has begged the question even more in regards to your first post.

Good thing we agree.

And, "lemontitties", I don't think anyone was suggesting what you keep do.

I have no idea what you tried to say, but okay bud.

I'm pretty sure its supposed to measure who's too young or too old to date. That's why earlier in the comments I said I didn't want this on the post XD some b.s. equation people made to judge who they should love or not

I actually disagree with both of you I believe kids can be in love and such just the same as everyone else what I also believe is that they can't stay committed because they're constantly changing seeing new people etc. They won't be able to sit down. And be in a relationship where as a 20 year old who has a job and by late 20s starts to think about maybe even kids and stuff. That's when relationships are thought of as long term. But as far as underage I don't care about that either honestly. Lol, I'm "underage" and date people older than late 20s well have. So yea
