I would say Hellsing but that's more UK than America.

RWBY even if the refuse to classify it as anime at Myanimelist. I don't care where it's made. Anime is anime and it draws way too much inspiration from anime to be considered anything else.

I think stylistically I would go with Panty and Stocking with Garderbelt. That whole show is just one big cultural reference of American media.

It's obviously Heroman, it's actually set in America.
91 Days is a close contender, too.

The entire Texas Mack sequence of Getter Robo Armageddon.

EDIT — I mean Shin Getter VS. Neo Getter. I get those two confused sometimes.

Kind of ironic, given that it's all about Japan, but I feel like GATE's super nationalistic attitude is really similar to a lot of people in America.

RWBY isn't classified as anime because it isn't anime. It heavily draws influence from anime, but it itself isn't. I draw inspiration for ways of living from Japan, but I'm not Japanese. Make sense, people?

My picks for most American anime would probably be the quartet of Marvel anime that ran on G4 back in the day, but moreso Wolverine or Iron Man than the others, as Wolverine has that brutality and gore you'd expect from American media, and Iron Man of course has the hero that pretty much embodies capitalism. They're also a wonderful hybrid of American and Japanese entertainment, using properties made in America but being animated by Madhouse. Your enjoyment of the series may vary, but they're quite American.

That's like saying Japanese motorcycles aren't motorcycles, while they heavily draw influence from motorcycles (made in the US/Europe) they are still not motorcycles.

I'm an American, but I'm also Japanese. Just like rwby is american animation but also anime.

I know right? Its a Japanese word for animation, if they would call a show like RWBY Anime in Japan, then its Anime. End of discussion. For people that act like such Anime purists, they sure are quick to dismiss the Japanese definition and usage of the word in favor of the wrong American reappropriation of the word.
