I haven't in a long time, but I once got some pretty fabulous dining room chairs that someone had thrown out.

I have found and kept a few things that were legetimately pretty good finds:

-A clean white couch, which I used for the apartment I moved into like 2 weeks later, then my roomate shit his pants and left a poop stain on it.

-Two acoustic guitars! Sold those for probably $400 bucks, and I was like 14 too.

-Some pipe tobacco, when I did smoke.

-a small bag of weed. Especially after two different friends walked right past it, that was a good find as well.

-A full liter of orange Fanta (unopened!). I drank that shit in 1 day, I was really happy with this one :D

I was probably the jackass in the past that would put up my old things on the road.

I remember once when I was moving out of state, I had some people move ALL my furniture out to the public road, since I wanted to start out fresh. Every piece of furniture would disappear within 5 minutes (which was enough time to walk back to my place and pick up the next piece of furniture to put out). Someone out there must have a fully-furnished house because of my bright ass idea.

Nope never have and I see stuff on the side of the road 24/7 and sometimes there's seriously a sign saying free but blah lol. Would imagine they are throwing stuff out for a reason lol.

There was a collection of wooden-crafted pens that somebody had thrown out before. It was in a really rustic sort of tin. The moment I opened it, I knew I had to revive it. Lucky thing is that the ink just needed replacing.

I also tend to collect shells by the sea-side. Not the road, but I think it's somewhat similar !!! :))))

For hygiene reasons I leave the bird shit, squashed skunks, flattened toads alone. Flattened rabbits need time to really dry out. Depending on number and size of big rigs that romp over their diminutive carcasses after a certain amount of time it's nice to fling 'em across the road....make great natural frisbees and the stench of death is gone from them by then (wheeeeeeeeee)

No, I haven't bothered too. I have friends that did. In college there was one of those booth things from a restaurant sitting outside and my friends made it their dinner table

Recently grabbed up two mountain bikes. One was in perfect condition but was just a little small for me so I gave it to my dad. The other needed a new chain and to have a few things tightened up but otherwise was perfect for me.
