Would be nice if those of us who are already paying customers would be able to enter these kinds of contests. They pulled this last year, too.

Given how upset some people are about the right to enter a contest (which they would have very low odds of winning), I can only assume they ring up their ISP or subscription TV provider every year and demand the same deal new subscribers are being given.

Nice...all these years being a loyal customer and no appreciation showed. Makes me want to keep subbing.

We, as premium members, give money monthly in devotion to your services, yet we get completely disregarded for things like this?? Seriously not fair in my opinion. I get that it's to attract new people, but still, pretty damn cheap.

Lots of people do, and in fact SHOULD do this.

It is funny how all of these pple complaining about being subs for 2 or 3 years being long time subscribers, they need to look at you. I have seen you here since, like, when the site started, and I don't see you complain. Nice man.

Actually, it's amazing the benefits one can obtain if they do. Simply asking, sans snark, has been helpful in my experience. Not always, but sometimes, depending on the company and service provided.

I see nothing wrong with stating the fact that the contest, despite low odds of winning, is not really fair to or considerate of current paying customers.

Shouldn't loyalty be rewarded, with a chance to win something this awesome? Sure we could all just sign up for a free trial on a new email acct, but where's the honor in being dishonest. Just like where is the honor in giving such a great opportunity to those who have never given full support.

There's no reason not to call your ISP for negotiation of rates - that's the smart thing to do.

Personally, I've won multiple contests online. This sort of crap is rather annoying as it ultimately turns into banking on getting people to enter and forgetting to cancel effectively trying to skirt "pay to play". It's a trash tactic trashy companies use,

much like one's wafui, CR is trash.

I actually do that, I call them up once every year or two, and manage to get a credit/adjustment based on if I was signing up new with them, and it's kept me with them.

Without changing plans to boot.

Not done it in 3+ years however, so not sure if their policy has changed.

Oh, and if your curious, it was Rogers in Ontario.
