Great guidance counselors: Ones that could effectively inform students of majors, student loans/managing finances, and prospective career paths.

That depends what type of students you are talking about:

I would suggest you narrow the scope.

Are we talking College Students? Which should specify undergraduates, graduates or doctoral, further rather it's business, drama, etc.
Trade School Students?
High School students? Seniors, freshmen, etc?

Because a jock at a high school would probably love way to practice and be evaluated on how they can improve their techniques, endurance, dexterity, flexibility, etc. Such as a holographic room where they can move around in real time as if they were on the field, that's a virtual reality and evaluated in real time.

A truck driver trade school would probably benefit from a diesel driver simulator that was realistic and put them through several scenarios that truck drivers really go through, and tests their abilities and shows them how to improve.

more aid for people dealing with disabilities example half my childhood was in and out of hospitals so i feel i missed some stuff that i shouldn't have weather just basic education, socialization etc that feel has adversely effected me. note I'm no longer in school but feel their was some lack of that while i was.

A machine that uploaded knowledge straight into your brain so classes would be two minute affairs instead of two hours

Try like a new backpack that can be like lightweight, have bluetooth (cuz why not), make you coffee, and store hot or cold foods, while holding your books.

maybe a new granola bar that actually taste good and is carb free.

Maybe a new app that does your homework for you.

Good teachers.

This is a quote from an anime or somewhere, but it goes something like, people who fail at other things become teachers. I thought it was really funny, but true to most teachers out there these days.
There are rarely any quality teachers, it's like people become teachers because it pays relatively well and they don't have any other options.

The same applies for a lot university lecturers and tutors, some don't have the passion or innate talent for teaching, but they do it because they need the salary to do other things in life. How often do you find yourself falling asleep to most of these lectures? They're not engaging at all.

As cool as that would be, there would be a few downsides (such as the mental health)

What I most wanted in high school: comfortable desks (groan.) Seriously, though, that's the only thing I can think of; digitalization would have been nice while I was in school but that's becoming more common now.

What I wanted most in College: a single citation style. Even better would be automated citations for everything!

Hey I've thought about this kind of thing a lot. I am kind of surprised to see someone else say it. I think that would be great.
