Being a former dancer, I've had my fair share of injuries, ranging from strained necks from broken ankles. Worst injury though, that has to go to the time i disloacted my shoulder and severely injured my neck at the same time. Never fully recovered from the joint injury, but with it being the 3 year anniversary of this injury happening, it got me wondering - anyone else here, have you ever suffered an injury? What was it, and how bad was it? What's the worst injury you've ever suffered?

Ouch, neck and shoulder injuries are nasty. I bet you've got some nerve damage too which is quite painful and probably comes and goes. More than likely it comes more than it goes. My mom and her friend were hit by a drunk driver and she had to have back surgery plus parts of her collarbone replaced with some plastic and metal. I know that was extremely painful for her and she still hurts to this day from it. She also had to have a disc replaced in her back and could hardly walk in the weeks leading up to the surgery. The pain traveled down through her hip and leg and I've read that it can be very painful. The passenger who was with the drunk driver died on impact. Neither of them were wearing their seat belts and the EMS told my mom and her friend that if they hadn't of had their belts on then they would have died. That's always stuck with me and I never drive anywhere without buckling up.

I broke my arm in kindergarten but that wasn't too bad. Probably the worse injuries I've had was when I was a young child jumping on my bed I flew and hit the wall and had to have stitches. I don't remember much of that except for the fact that it hurt so bad and the doctors didn't make it any better by telling me "Here comes the bumblebee." Who says that to a kid when you're about to give someone stitches? Kids don't like bees or wasps.

I broke my little toe this last year and that hurt really bad. I was walking barefoot that night right before I went to bed and caught my little toe on the couch leg and it twisted my toe all the way back so that it touched the side of my foot and was facing me. I had to take my hand and push it back around so that it was facing the right direction. That hurt really bad and even then my toe didn't sit straight. It was sort of pointing towards the side. I ended up wrapping it to the toe next to it and just manned up. I didn't bother going to the emergency room or a Doctor or anything. There's not much they can do for it anyway. So I was all manly.....and whined to my mommy to make it all better. I couldn't walk on it for several days and it still freaking hurts. I got a lot of sympathy points out of it though and even got my dinners brought to me for a couple of days. Hey, don't make fun of me. You'll would cry to your mommy too. Stupid little toes. We don't even need them for anything. They're just there to cause us irreparable harm.

Ouch, burns are bad especially 2nd and 3rd degree burns. There's really nothing in this world that can take away the pain of a bad burn. Sorry you had to go through that. /Hugs.

oh my vocabulary was rich that day. Working for Burger King and I was the porter, I was using a pickle bucket to dump the old grease into a trap because they were too cheap to buy a decent. shuttle. As I stepped out the back door the pickle bucket split pouring that grease down my leg, the 3rd degree burn was on my ankle that really soft skin by the ball there. cussed every word I knew. they had a new shuttle by the time I returned and I was well compensated for my medical bills and time off.

33% of my Knee was blown out of my body, later to be replaced with a grafted artificial knee made of titanium, cracked skull, with a severe concussion resulting in vison loss, and only one usable kidney.

Lost my first tooth in a bike accident when I was 9. Bit the asphalt, as everyone says. Beyond that, loads of scrapes and bruises, a sprained thumb, and a permanent scar above my right eye. I jumped off a bed, and hit a chair. XD

Tripped on some ice. Separated shoulder and broke my collar bone. It was pretty bad, but it healed alright. Surgery was ruled out since I was still young ( and super poor ) . It just aches if I over use my shoulder at certain angles, or try to pick things up over my head at certain angles.

Hmm car crash with all the following injuries at once hadn't broken a bone until that point in my life, various cuts bruises and worst was a torn ligament.

Fractured skull 14 stitches (left eye ridge is still cracked to this day)
Broken collar bone
Left wrist broken in 2 places
Multiple broken ribs
Left knee cap smashed (had to be removed)

In hospital for 2 weeks and it took 6 months before I was able to walk normally again. All in all an interesting if very painful experience.

I've had stitches in both ears before, but I consider the worst to be one that caused bruising; I sprinted and tripped head-first into a concrete bollard. I've taken a lot of bad hits to the head, but I think that was the worst.

Severe tendinitis in both knees, almost couldn't walk for 6 months and couldn't do any cardio for almost 2 years due to recurrent pain. Luckily I'm better now.

I stepped on a nail barefoot once.
I was like 8-9 and my younger brother, around 4-5 brought in a wooden plank and it happened to have a nail still attached to it and I just happen to step on it. I didn't feel any pain until I saw blood dripping from my sock

Yeah I know I've done that more than once, not fun

Fractures, I suppose.

When I was very young I split my lip open almost to my nostril. I needed stitches, but was too young for anesthetic. I still have a scar. Luckily I don't remember this.
