HEY.

It's fine if it's good music.

It may never have occurred to you that you may have to live with it but don't have to like it, which I think the spirit of the topic op was conveying. I don't like a lot of things I put up with to endure personally, so acting tough and insensitive about it, essentially suggesting stfu is rather non-constructive and contextually pointless. But, that's your prerogative if you wish to chastise another for your own reality, not everyone has to put up with it, shut up, or think like you do, no offense. I personally don't care much for roach motel apartments and can fully relate to op without judging them for not being all stoic about it...

I have a neighbor that occasionally likes to blare 9 inch nails on his stereo until 2 or 3 in the morning, and on the opposite side is one that has OP subwoofers and likes to play hard hitting hip hop and rap until 2 or 3 in the morning... and so I built an equally obnoxious 2k watt setup in my garage and drown them out until they get the picture.

This is war!

Eh, to each their own

I listen to them on occasion, but, when I'm in the mood for it, it's great.

I live in Downtown Los Angeles. If it ain't loud neighbors, then it's just the loud city environment I have to deal with. In no way was my answer a "STFU" answer, but more of a "Noise Is Gonna Happen No Matter Where You Live" (NIGHNMWYL) kind of answer....

When you are planning to buy/rent a new apartment, always check if you will have good neighbors.

for your info, we were living in a rent house for the pass 8 years. we did have a neighbors who played loud music. but it was no bother because they were in their house and we were in ours. they could not jump and stump on our ceiling. We had to move because the landlord put the house on the market to be sold.

Living in a house with noisy next door neighbor or noisy neighbors down the street is i can tolerate, but when a 10 year kid is constantly jumping and running over your head all night every night like a crazy person, that's unbearable. no one should be allowed to act that way
