ʚ Episode 1 | The princess ɞ
There is darkness in every soul, but what if there was one pure-souled princess?
The cold November air acted as a blanket over Akihabara city. Warm air was met in the busy 'Heaven's gate' cafe that was decorated for Christmas including the brightly lit tree in the corner of the small stage. Among the eight maids wearing different uniforms was one who stood out. The cute, small framed, baby faced Japanese girl with the height of 155cm tall was the second shortest maid. Her pale and flawless skin was almost doll-like, along with her pink eyes descending to violet. Her long loosed curly pastel pink hair with a similar shade to cotton candy was tied into twin tails with a neat full fringe. Drifting away from her was a natural scent of strawberries. Her makeup was Byojaku style. Pink thigh highs covered her legs, exposing a small area of pale skin in-between the top of her socks and her uniform that was decorated with her nameplate reading out 'Yumi' along with an Hoto Kokoa badge.

She was standing in-front of the electrical doors where a young man was standing. She placed her hands on-top of each other against her stomach. "Thank you for visiting," she smiled, lightly bowing her head. Her voice was soft and sweet, giving it sound cute. The customer nodded in response. Yumi swayed to the side as she moved her hands into a cat paw shape. "Bye-nyan," she smiled, bouncing to the side. "Cute," the customer quietly muttered in response. She waved with both hands while the customer left. The maid dressed in an Christmas styled red and green uniform with 'Kanna' written on her nameplate walked past, carrying a small tray consisting of an omurice, a classic maid cafe dish. "Keep safe on the way home," she reminded before walking over to the table of three at the back of the cafe. After changing into a pink Listen flavor Bite me Sweatshirt that almost covered her pink skirt and a pink Love Hospital Kokokim hoodie, Yumi left the warm paradise of Maidreamin cafe. The backstreets of Shinjuku was lit up by a single street-lamp. A pair of pink over-the-head headphones were resting on her head, quietly playing music from the Japanese boy group 'D-Date'. Whispering echoed in the background. Looking up, she saw two Bakezori; yokai in the form of traditional straw sandals which often cause mischief at night, floating in the air. As their eyes met her's, she quickly looked away. "She saw us," one stated. "And her soul is locked," the other squeaked. She gripped onto the hems of her jacket as she walked past. A pair of arms suddenly reached out of the darkness, pushing her forwards into the small local Shinto shrine area. A small pink shockwave shot out as Yumi fell past the red torri gate, designed to protect the shrines from evil. She fell into an Wariza sitting position. Looking up, she saw a tall man donning a casual jet black suit. "W-Who are you?" she mumbled, lightly shaking as she shuffled backwards, bumping into the Um statue, the Komainu that represents the beginning and the end of all things. His eyes turned from silver to black. "So your the little doll, huh?" he growled, crouching down in-front of her, grabbing her around her neck, causing her to flinch. He forcefully pushed her against the UM statue, causing her to flinch as a few drops of crimson rolled down her neck. He glanced up at the Komainu. "Unfortunately those don't seem to work for me," he expressed, his cold eyes staring into hers. He smirked as he noticed the tears glimmering in her pink eyes. His grip on her increased as his grin revealed his sharp fangs. "Strawberries, huh?" he smirked, rolling his tong along his fangs. "P-Please," she weakly mumbled. "And miss out on a tasty meal?" he remarked, his cold eyes focusing on her neck. His cold fingers could feel her heart-beet increasing. He leaned forwards, preparing to bite. She quickly flinched as she gripped onto the hems of her sleeves against her chest. Suddenly, a large pink shockwave shot out, going across Tokyo, catching the attention of eight different Japanese guys all doing there own thing. The shockwave knocked the Ghoul back against the side of the Torri gate. Two small pale pink hearts appeared in the irises of her eyes. "So you ARE the little doll," he sneered, stepping forwards. "Pathetic princess," he moaned, kicking her to the side. She covered her mouth as she started coughing. She pulled her hand away to see blood. "You should of been killed as soon as you fell to this world, even before your soul activated," he moaned, kicking her down.He pushed his foot against her shoulder, pushing her back against Um. Green smoke drifted to the side as a shrine bell chimed. "Huh?" the Ghoul moaned, looking up. She weakly looked up to see the tall coffee-scented boy step out of the smoke.

The Ghoul grabbed her shoulder, pushing her back. The boy held an paper-fan in-front of his mouth as his arms crossed. He glanced to the side, his eyes meeting hers. He winked before focusing back on the Ghoul. "Your Inoo Kei," the Ghoul blurted out. The boy smirked as he placed his hands inside his sleeves. "Oh? You've heard of me?" he remarked. "The Shikigami of the Kami of great darkness and wealth," the Ghoul blurted out, increasing his grip on her shoulder. She lightly flinched at the increase of pressure. "My master Daikokuten-sama will be more disquieted if you leave another mark on the Princess," Kei calmly informed. "I'm sure he will, go tell him," the Ghoul sarcastically remarked. His cold eyes stared back down at her. As he leaned forwards, all Yumi could smell was blood omitting from his black clothing. His cold tong rolled along her cheek, catching the tear that rolled down. She flinched as she tried to pull away. A shine caught the corner of her eye. An Kunai blade suddenly shot past into the nearby board filled with wish plagues known as Ema. A line of crimson bled out on the Ghoul's cheek. His eyebrows narrowed as he glared up at the boy next to them. "Now,I would prefer if you didn't act so unsightly towards the Princess," Kei coldly warned. The Ghoul's eyes twitched as he stood up, pulling Yumi up with him. Kei's eyes narrowed. "Not going to attack while I'm holding your precious little doll, huh?" the Ghoul declared. She looked up at him before glancing back at Kei who's facial expressions softened as if he was over-confident on the conclusion of the situation at hand. "It bewilders me how Yokai are so consistent on referring to the Kami Princess as a simple doll," he remarked. "K-Kami Princess?" she mumbled. The Ghoul's grip on her increased, causing her to flinch. Kei took a step forwards. "Well I presume it is in reference to prior the Princess falling to the human world, maybe even to her appearance, even I would have to agree that she is endearing to look at," he responded. "Iv'e had enough," the ghoul moaned. He shoved her down to the ground against the Torri. She fell into an Wariza position, where her legs are bent backwards on each side of the body. She went to move, flinching as pain rushed through her ankle. Kei was still focused on her in the corner of his eye. The Ghoul moved his hand to the side, causing a dagger to appear. "I'm gonna kill you," he cursed, jumping forwards. He went to cut Kei who quickly dodged to the side. Kei quickly kicked the centre of his stomach, knocking him back against the main part of the shrine. "Izanami-sama and Amatsu-Mikaboshi-sama are going to enjoy adding you to their collection," he informed, swinging his arm out to the side. Three Kunai blades shot out, pinning through the Ghoul. He gasped in pain before turning into black smoke. Yumi shuffled backwards, tripping on the step underneath the Torri. "Eh?" she mumbled. She fell backwards, hitting her head on the ground. Kei blocked out the light from above as he folded one arm against his back, stretching the other towards her. "Allow me," he started. She held out her hand, stopping. He sighed as he held onto her fingers, pulling her up so she was sitting. He knelled down on one knee in-front of her. "Yumi-sama, have you been harmed?" he asked. "I-I'm okay," she mumbled, pulling up the hood on her pink parka. He sighed as he could still feel her lightly shaking in his hand. "Perhaps you shouldn't lie to the man holding you right now," he reminded. She lightly nodded as she looked down. "First let's get you out of the cold," he observed, pulling her closer. As she glanced up into his silver eyes, they were suddenly in a pink room.

As soon as he removed his hand from hers, she shuffled backwards, causing her to bump into the long mirror behind her. He leaned forwards, placing the palms of his hands on either side of the mirror frame, next to her head. She flinched as she held onto the opposite ends of her sleeves in-front of her. "This would be easier if you stopped trying to escape," he reminded, looking down into her soft multi-colored eyes. Shimmer's formed in the corner of her eyes as small drops rolled down her cheek. He glanced down at her still shaking hands. "You already heard half of the story four years ago," he remembered. She lightly nodded. "Easiest way is to explain what happened 18 years ago on Tanabata," he sighed, looking to the side for a few seconds. "W-What happened?" she mumbled, looking up at him. "In Gahara, the Kami world, there was a shockwave, much like the one that happened today when your soul awoke, just as strong," he started. "S-Strong?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Every Yokai felt it, even I felt it when I was relaying a message to Izanami-sama in Yomi," he explained, watching her lightly nod. He sighed before continuing. "In the centre of that shockwave appeared a glass coffin, inside was... you, with the same appearance you do now," he informed. Her eyes dropped to the ground as she held onto her sweater. "Every Kami is born human or Yokai and turned into one but your soul was brand new," he stated. He glanced down to see her grip increasing. "There is darkness in every soul, but what if there was one pure-souled Princess?" he questioned. She slowly looked up into his silver eyes. The heart shaped gleams in her's glittering under the light. "Your the only living Kami and not only that, your the only one with a pure soul," he explained. "T-That's why you both called me Princess?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. He removed one hand from the mirror, placing it on-top of one of hers, causing her to flinch. "You are viewed as the Princess," he agreed," anyway, your soul only activated and you woke up when you fell to the human world four years ago," he informed. "When I was found at a Shrine with no memories," she mumbled. "Luckily it was one of Inari-sama's Shikigami who found you when tending to the shrine grounds, my master decided it would be best of you lived along the human's so he requested that Inari-sama's Shikigami looked after you while he secretly paid for your living expensive's behind the scenes," he described. She lightly nodded as she looked down. "Well you must of realised you were not human, besides being capable of seeing Yoaki, you have a natural strawberry scent, your appearance is special and unique," he commented, placing his other hand on her cheek,"You heal quicker and you don't have most of the internal organs everyone else has," he reminded, glancing down. She quickly zipped up her jacket before holding down on her hood, looking to the side. "Anyway I'll sort out your injuries," he interrupted, pulling back her hood. Her cheeks blushed as she noticed the space, well lack-off in-between them. She went to move backwards, hitting her head on the mirror. She flinched as she leaned forwards. She was shaking as her breathing was quicker. Kei glanced down, feeling his ears turn hot as she leaned her head against his chest. "If your in this bad of a condition just by hitting your head you must be really injured," he reminded, removing his other hand from hers, pulling her up against him. He looked into the mirror, seeing the reflection of the bruise on the back of her neck along with a cut bleeding through from her shoulder-blades. "You've been coping with this pain all this time?" he asked. She lightly nodded as she placed her hands which were almost covered by her sleeves down on the ground in-front of her. As he clicked his fingers, heat-packs and an small tube of antiseptic cream appeared in the air next to him. She flinched as she felt the heat-pack go down on the back of her neck. "Is it too hot?" he asked. "I-It's okay," she mumbled, glancing up at him. "Although we do know your soul is that of a Kami, it is unknown of what your speciality is," he admitted as he opened another heat-pack, "You also hit your shoulder when he pushed you against the Torri," he remembered, glancing down at her shoulder. "W-Why are you helping me?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. He glanced away from her bruises to see her eyes that were already wet from tears. "I was curious about the Princess that my master wanted to protect so I looked into you. I'm afraid that it was me that tipped the Ghoul off about your location, he must of followed me," he admitted. Yumi lightly tilted her head. "I visited the maid cafe Maidreamin yesterday," he explained. "You did?" she mumbled. "It was another maid that served me although I did keep an eye on you throughout my visit," he admitted. He glanced down, noticing that the pastel mermaid styled heels were still on her feet.

"Princess, please excuse me," he added. He carefully unbuckled the straps. "I-Inoo-san?" she blushed, going to move backwards. He wrapped his arm around her back, pulling her forwards before she could hit her head once again. "You may refer to me by Kei," he added, slipping her shoes off. As he clicked his fingers, her shoes along with his appeared in the traditional entrance way. "Are you injured anywhere else?" he asked, placing an heat-pack down on her shoulder. "I'm okay, t-thank you," she mumbled. A faint smile popped on his face as he ruffled her soft hair. Her cheeks blushed as she looked up at him. "Your a Shikigami?" she mumbled. "A Tengu, yeah. But Daikokuten-sama isn't too bad of a Kami to be a Shikigami to for awhile," he nodded. "How long have you been with him?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Since I was 12 so 12 years now," he remembered. "24," she mumbled. "Six year age gap bothering you?" he guessed. "Eh?It's not like that," she blushed, looking up at him. He smirked as he noticed how much she was blushing. She lightly tilted her head. "At least do you think of me as a guy not just a Shikigami, even if I do act like a butler," he admitted. Her face turned red as she quickly pulled away, shuffling backwards and bumping into the mirror. She flinched as pain rushed through her neck. He leaned forwards, pulling her forwards slightly. "You really need to be-careful till it heals," he sighed. "Y-Your too close," she blushed, looking up at him. "Would you like something to eat?" he guessed, watching her lightly nod. "I'll be right back, feel free to get comfy," he advised, glancing down before standing to his feet. He turned his back to her as he walked towards the small opened kitchen area. She brought her hands up to her mouth, her cheeks still a bright red. "Are you planning on moving?" he remarked. "Eh?" she mumbled, looking him to see he was staring at her. Her cheeks turned red as she quickly sat up on the edge of her bed, picking up the Ensemble Stars Adonis plush. "How have you been these past four years? You've appeared to make some good friends at Maidreamin," he observed, focused on what he was cooking. She fiddled with the plush as she looked down. "I-Iv'e been okay," she mumbled. He glanced towards her before sighing. He placed a plate of French toast decorated with strawberries down on the table. He folded one arm behind his back as he held the fork towards her. "T-Thank you," she mumbled, picking it up. He sighed as he crouched down in-front of her. He placed his fingers against her cheeks. Her cheeks blushed as she looked up at him. "These are staining such cute cheeks," he commented, wiping away the dried up tears. "K-Kei-san?" she mumbled. "Just Kei is fine," he remarked. "Y-Your too close," she mumbled, looking up into his eyes. He glanced down to see how close he was leaning in. A faint smile popped on his face as he pulled back. "I shall leave you to it, my number is in your phone if you need anything," he announced. "Eh?" she mumbled, pulling out the iPhone 5c out of her pocket to see he was already listed under contacts. "Get some rest," he added, ruffling her hair. He clicked his fingers as he suddenly disappeared. "I'm a Kami?" she mumbled, laying back on the bed. The next afternoon. Behind one of the arcades in Akihabara Yumi was sitting with her knees up together and feet apart on the step in her Maidreamin uniform along with an Kurusu Syo parka. She slipped her newest Priticket of the pink devil outfit into the Dream Theater file bag. "Princess," a male voice interrupted. The faint scent of melon's drifted through the air as a shadow blocked out the sunlight. The 180cm tall crimson eyed boy crouched down in-front of her.

A faint blue glow drifted away from him for a few seconds. "A Yokai?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Baku, a dream eater," he nodded. He gently held onto both of her hands by her fingers. He smirked as her cheeks lightly blushed. He glanced down at her nameplate. "Yumi, huh? I'm Haru," he added. A smile popped on his face as he placed his hand on her head. "You look pretty adorable in that," he admitted. Her cheeks blushed as she fiddled with the hems of her sleeves against her chest. She noticed the keychain of Retoree from the anime Show by Rock hanging out of his pocket. "Retoree-chan," she mumbled. He followed her line of sight before smiling. "Right, your an anime otaku as well," he laughed, poking the badge of the protagonist of Gochiusa that was pinned to her uniform. "Gochiusa and Show by rock are my favorites," she mumbled, lightly nodding. "Rosia-chan or Moa-chan in SBR, right?" he guessed. "Rosia-chan," she mumbled, lightly nodding. "Bingo, guessed by the pink," he laughed, ruffling her hair. "So is it okay if we're friends?" he asked. She fiddled with the hems of her sleeves in-front of her mouth as she looked down. "I-I don't mind," she blushed, lightly nodding. He placed his hands on-top of hers. "Eh?" she blushed, looking up at him. He pulled her hands away, placing his lips against the top of her hand. Her face turned bright red as she went to shuffle backwards, bumping into the wall. He covered his mouth as he laughed, ruffling her hair. "Right, it's probably the end of your break, right?" he guessed, playing with a strand of her hair. "Almost," she blushed, lightly nodding. He jumped up, stretching his hand out towards her as he pulled her up. He walked her back to the 'Heavens gate' branch near Akihabara station. They exchanged contact information. "See you around, Yumi," he grinned, patting her head as he stepped forwards. "Bye-ni," she mumbled, waving with both hands. "So," a female voice interrupted behind her, making her lightly jump. Yumi quickly twirled around to see the maid named Kanna behind her. A smug look on her face. "Kachi?" Yumi blushed. "A guy, huh?" Kanna started, stepping down the last step. "He's just a friend," Yumi blushed, shaking her hands. "How long have you known him?" Kanna wondered, changing what hand she was holding the fliers with. "Ten minutes?" Yumi mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Just as quick as you believing the so-called Tengu last night," Kanna observed. Yumi lightly tilted her head as she pressed her hands together. "Just be-careful around guys, okay?" Kanna reminded before walking towards the main street. Yumi took the small lift up to the six floor where she dropped off her Priticket file bag in her locker before going into the main part of the cafe. She heard a bell ringing, meaning a new customer had now entered. She shuffled over to the door-area, lightly bouncing. She brought her stretched up hand next to her face as she swayed to the side. "Welcome to Maidreamin Goshuujin-sama," she smiled. The customer nodded in response. A few hours later. Yumi was knelling down next to table where a female customer was. On the table was a glass of a pink drink and a small silver tray which had a box of colourful straws. Yumi picked up the box of straws. She twirled her finger around in a circle around the top of the straws. "Please choice which colour you would like," she smiled. "Pink please," the customer nodded. "Straw colour is also MoeMoe pink," Yumi smiled, swaying to the side as she picked up the pink straw. Two male customers were sitting at a nearby table. One was focused on the AKB48 photocard collection file in his hands, pushing up the rim of his glasses. While the man opposite was reading a manga. "Ah, So Yuminyan is working today," the one reading manga added. "Yuminyan?" the AKB48 fan questioned, following the others eye-line to see Yumi gently using the straw to mix the drink before leaning it against the side. She bounced as she held her arms out in-front of her. "Your drink is ready," she smiled. She made her fingers into a heart, holding it in-front of her chest. "Time for another magic spell," she smiled. The customer made a heart as well. "Moe Moe," they both chanted. She moved the heart to the side each time. "Kyu~n," she smiled, moving the heart towards the drink. She lightly clapped. "The magic spell has been completed, please drink now so the Moe magic doesn't escape," she smiled, swaying to the side. "The pink maid, people say they're both natural," the male customer informed. "Oh right, the Fairy maid," the AKB48 fan remembered. "That's right," the other nodded. "Thank you for waiting, Goshuujin-sama's," Kanna interrupted. Next to her was a maid with 'Nanami' written on her nameplate. Kanna placed two Omurice down on the table while Nanami picked up the ketchup bottles. "Kanna-chan, your best friends with Yuminyan, right?" the bespectacled customer remembered. "For the past two years, that is correct," Kanna nodded. "Is it true about her eyes and hair?" the AKB48 fan remarked. Nanami covered her mouth as she lightly laughed. "Of course, she's the princess from the star kingdom," she responded. "Outside the cafe I mean," the AKB48 fan commented. "The last time I was in here Yuminyan served me and I couldn't see an contact outline at all," the bespectacled customer admitted. Nanami and Kanna exchanged glances. "Yumi-chan's eyes are sensitive so she can't wear contacts," Nanami admitted. Kanna glanced at her before sighing. She glanced to the otherside of the cafe to see Yumi drawing a cat outline on the female customers omurice with the ketchup bottle, adding stars and crescent moons at the side. After the customer finished eating, she left, ending Yumi's six hour shift. The female changing rooms featured long mirrors. Yumi stepped in-front of one, checking the pink outfit that she had worn that morning.

"You look cute as always, don't worry," Nanami interrupted from behind her, making her lightly jump. Yumi quickly twirled on her heal to face her. "Really?" she mumbled, swaying to the side. "You want to look cute just in case you run into that guy you told me and Kanna-chan about right? The one who saved you," she guessed. Yumi shock her hands. "It's not like that," she blushed. "Then the guy you became friends with today?" Nanami guessed, leaning against the wall. Yumi fiddled with the hems of her sleeve as she covered her mouth. "Kachi told you about that?" she blushed. "Of course, she's the Premium maid that I'm training under," Nanami reminded. Yumi cheeks blushed as she lightly nodded. Two more maids walked into the room with nametags reading out 'Hitomi' and 'Saki'. "Yumi-chan, your heading out?" Hitomi guessed. Saki kept quite as she went over to her locker to change out of her red and green uniform. Yumi lightly nodded. "Keep safe," Hitomi added before going over to her locker. "Bye-ni," Yumi mumbled before leaving the changing rooms. On the way back to her apartment from the station was an 7-eleven store. She went inside, going over to the area where sandwiches, bentos and pasta were. The scent of mango's drifted through the air. A pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her shoulders from behind her, pulling her back against their chest. "Eh?" she blushed. A burning Wanyudo shot past, leaning an stream of flames in it's wake where she was standing. "Are you okay?" a male voice asked. Looking up, she saw the 180 cm tall Japanese boy with dark red eyes like almandine gems glittering underneath the light.

Her cheeks lightly blushed as she nodded. He glanced down at her visible Suica card before nodding. "Yumi, huh? I'm Paru," he added. She lightly blushed as she nodded. "Oh, right," he remembered, moving his arms away from her. She quickly stepped forwards before twirling around to face him. He ruffled his hand through the back of his hair as he picked up an pre-made bento box. She picked up a packaged sandwich which contained strawberries. The sandwich slipped out of her hands. From behind her, someone quickly caught it. The scent of Peaches drifted through the air. "Here," a male voice added. "Thank you," she shyly blushed twirling around to see the 169 cm tall boy with different colored eyes. Fangs could be seen in his mouth.

The boy glared up at Paru. "A kitsune?" he remarked. "Don't worry, Byakko is an easier way to describe what I am," Paru reassured. She lightly tilted her head. "Celestial fox spirits that bring happiness and blessings to those around them," Paru explained. "I figured you were just some pervert," the new boy muttered. She noticed his small fangs. "Your a vampire?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Yeah, names Kazuha," he nodded, patting her head. After they paid, they went outside. "I need to head to work, will you be okay?" Kazuha wondered, glancing at Paru. "See you around, Yumi," he grinned, patting her head before walking off towards the Kabukicho area. Paru sighed as he placed his hand ontop of her head, causing her cheeks to blush. "A-Anyway, I live in the apartment next to you," he admitted. "Eh? Really?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. Thick heavy rain suddenly fell from the sky, soaking through their clothes. His abs were visible through his shirt. "I'll cook something for you," he added, sitting down next to her. "Are you sure?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "Okonomiyaki?" he offered. "T-That's okay," she mumbled, lightly nodding. "I'll go make it, you should get changed and warm up," he offered. She lightly nodded. He ruffled her hair before going into the apartment next to hers. Ten minutes later he returned wearing black pajama trousers along with a short sleeved black Mickey Mouse T-shirt. Two plates of Okonomiyaki, a Japanese savery pancake, was in hand. She had changed into black room wear.

"You look cute," he admitted, looking down at her. "Eh? Really?" she blushed, hugging the Syo plush. He nodded as he placed the plates down on the table. "Thank you," she smiled, lightly tilting her head. "No problem," he grinned, ruffling her hair. He sat down on the edge of the bed before pulling her down next to him. Her knees were together as she lightly swung her legs. "It looks really good," she smiled, leaning forwards to see the Okonomiyaki. He grinned as placed a towel ontop of her head. "You should eat while it's still warm so you warm up," he reminded as he started drying her hair. "Y-You too," she mumbled, looking up at him. A kind smile popped on his face. "I'm fine, don't worry," he reassured, drying the ends of her hair. They watched an anime while they ate. After eating. "Are you going to be okay if I leave you?" he wondered. "Yep, don't worry," she mumbled, lightly nodding. "Well sweet dreams," he smiled, ruffling her hair before taking the plates he brought over and the rest of the ingredients as he left. "N-Night," she shyly blushed. A smile popped on his face before he left the apartment. "You trust guys to easily," Kei interrupted from behind her, making her jump. She quickly turned around. "I came to check in," he explained. Her cheeks blushed as she lightly nodded. "How are your injuries?" he wondered. "All healed," she mumbled, swaying to the side. He crouched down in-front of her. "Last night, you was scared of me and what happened, do you feel any better?" he wondered. "Sorry," she mumbled, lightly nodding. "It's understandable," he reassured, placing his hand on her arm. Her cheeks blushed as she looked up to see him focused on her. He moved strands of her hair behind her ear. "It's still damp," he sighed, keeping his fingers entangled in her hair. Her cheeks blushed as she fiddled with the Syo plush. He glanced down at her clothes. "You look pretty cute," he flushed. Her cheeks blushed as she quickly pulled up her hood, holding onto the sides. "Just be-careful, okay?" he sighed before disappearing. The next day. A thin blanket of snow was settled on the ground. Inside Maidreamin, music started playing through the speakers as the lights slowly switched off. Multi-colored light effects danced on the cafe's walls. In the darkness, the outlines of two maids stepping up onto the stage could be seen. The lighting effects slowly got brighter to show the maid with 'Saki' on her nameplate dressed in the red and green christmas uniform. Yumi was standing next to her. Three heart shaped gems were glued to her cheeks, one purple on one side and on the other was an pink and blue heart shaped gem. They were both standing with their hands behind her backs and their feet apart. The lighting moved around the stage. A cutesy pop styled song started playing. Saki and Yumi both danced along. A few of the customers were holding light-sticks as they waved them around. Kanna was standing near one of the tables, a light-stick in hand as she clapped along. Saki and Yumi both danced fluently to the choreography as they sang along. Saki's 'cool' type voice contrasted perfectly with Yumi's cute voice. After they finished the live, they went back to serving customers. Yumi placed her hands together against her stomach as she shuffled over to one of the tables. "Ojousama, have you decided on your order?" she mumbled, lightly tilting her head. "A soda flavored shaker," the customer requested. "Okay," Yumi smiled, swaying to the side. A few hours later her shift had ended. She changed back into her clothes before leaving Maidreamin.

Nanami was standing outside, a Maidreamin navy coloured parka was over her uniform. In her hand was a pile of fliers. "Please stop by Maidreamin," she called out, passing out fliers. Yumi jumped forwards, wrapping her arms around Nanami's stomach from behind her. "Yumi-chan," she added, looking down at the shorter maid. Yumi skipped forwards, twirling around to face Nanami. "Bye-ni," she smiled, lightly tilting her head. She waved with both hands before twirling around. "Take care," Nanami waved. On the way back from Shinjuku station to her apartment. The only light source above an alleyway was a single flickering light. She walked along the painted line as she quietly sang along to an 'Da-ice' song. A whistling sound echoed, making Yuki lightly jump. She stopped walking as she looked around, gripping onto the hems of her sleeves against her chest. She was lightly shaking as she looked around. Yokai's drifted past, disappearing. She could feel her heart beat racing as the whistling continued. A tall man stepped out of the shadows behind her. A sly smirk covering his lips. He grabbed her shoulder, pushing her against the wall, which caused her to flinch. "So your the Princess," he snarled, his grip increasing. She flinched as she tried to turn around. He pushed her forwards against the wall, leaning closer. His cold breath against her ear made her flinch. "You move, this will be more painful," he hissed. The sound of an box cutter spread across the isolated alleyway. He forcefully turned her around so she faced him. She looked up into his hollow black eyes. He smirked as he felt her trembling against his grip.
