Hi my name is Kevz. I am recently burnt out with all of the high school comedies that have come out lately and I am looking for some more action/adventure anime. I have recently watched Yona of the Dawn, Re:Zero and Blast of Tempest and it was refreshing to see something new for a change. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Try Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, Snow White With the Red Hair, Maria the Virgin Witch. Log Horizon or Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

I'll second Rage of Bahamut Genesis, it's an amazing adventure.

There's also Magi, Tales of Zestiria the X, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Log Horizon. I don't know if you've already seen them or if you don't like long shows but Hunter x Hunter and One Piece are worth recommending, just because they put more emphasis on the adventure rather than the fights, although they both have some amazing fight scenes.

Thanks for the recommendations, I've seen Log Horizon and Magi, but none of the others yet
I usually stay away from shows longer than 2 cours, but then again I marathoned FMA:Brotherhood in 3 days so who knows I might get hooked on those two. I've started One Piece and watch it on occasion and everyone has been telling me to give HxH a chance although it's length has been keeping it on the back burner lol..

Adventure anime? Aight- Hunter X Hunter is glorious!! The dynamics of the show are vast as far as being very light hearted, and violent and brutal, and also very logical and tactical in the action, fighting...I suck at describing stuff hahuh Buht everything abowut zis show (the writing, plot, setting, characters, action, ect ect) are done brilliyantli vwell! High recommendashuN!

TWO! More on the goofy and ridiculous side, buht also airing on the nonsensical feel good badassery kind of show iz.......
Gurren Lagann!!!! The show goes sou much farther thahn yue would expect frum the beginning, it doesn't awlways mayke sense- buht it notes thaht and busts through the barriers of nonsensicalness with greatness!! (still sucking at describing jank hahuh) buht truli, a greait show- especciali wvance iht picks oup the moumentum about 1/4 through the whole show. Give 'er a try!

Bahamut Genesis talks about how demons, gods and humans worked together to fight the dragon Bahamut and seal him before he could destroy the world. The key that sealed him was split in two, one half for the gods and the other for the demons so that the key would never be reconstructed, so Bahamut could never be released. A half demon girl steals the half of the key that the gods possess, and the chase for finding her begins. That's the very basic summary of the story, it's quite intersting. It's only available on Funimation.

And by the way, do not, I repeat, DO NOT let the lenght of Hunter x Hunter intimidate you, once you start you won't stop watching it. It's one of the best animated shows I've ever seen. It's just as good as Fullmetal Alchemst Brotherhood.

Yes, I hear the character development is what makes the show and how it turns from light hearted typical shonen to something much more complex and dark.

Gurren Lagaan is one of my favorites, I mean how much more manly can an anime get than two mechs throwing galaxies at one another lmao

Plus, HxH contains several distinct story arcs so you can take a break between them.

Seconding Gurren Lagann, and adding these:
Kill la Kill
Claymore
Gangsta
Samurai Champloo
Btooom!
Gatchaman Crowds
R.O.D
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Kyousougiga
Little Witch Academia
Attack on Titan
Cowboy Bebop
Sabagebu!
FLCL
Valvrave the Liberator
Ushio and Tora
Nobunagun
No. 6
Jubei Chan the Ninja Girl
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

Added to my list thanks :)

Btw its a real shame that Gargantia isn't more popular, definitely underrated imo.

The joy I felt when I knew that there was going to be a second season was unbelievable. And I would've never thought about a two cour season at all considering that it was based on a mobile game. But it is happening, and I thank God for that
