Anyone know if there is a reason behind the total lack of anime soundtracks being made on vinyl? They are pretty much non existent and im surprised no label has started making them yet even if the license is a pain to get, I would have assumed its just because there is not much demand? But even video game music is starting to get pressed onto vinyl LP a ton now.

If crunchyroll or any other site started making them Id be in on that stuff so fast.

why would you pay for vinyl that'll go unused for the purpose of aesthetic value
moreover japanese prices are fucking absurd so why would you pay for an import in the first place

Vinyl may be coming back, but anime companies probably aren't very interested in putting soundtracks on Vinyl probably for a lack of knowing about it's reemergence, lack of caring, or lack of perceived demand from their target audience, otakus.

However, I think you're more likely to find licensed anime soundtracks on vinyl in North America.
Akira got reissued on vinyl and Perfect Blue got a limited release as well. Paprika is also getting a release on Vinyl. There's also an LP release of the soundtrack to The Boy and the Beast. So far right now though these vinyl releases are for anime movies and are few and far between.

1- Copyright antipiracy measures are getting ridiculous no way thy are gonna step back form DMR sites.
2- Vinyl is outdated digital is the new
3-Anime Soundtrack don't get that much demand from 30k to 500k depending on tittle.
