Hey, so I have a friend that needs help finding a lab in which we can test a sort of physics effect. Preferably for free, but we KNOW it works; it's been tested before. It just needs the ability for 20,000 volts and a bell jar vacuum system (glass, NOT metal). It very well could change the world, please if there are any you know of, please give us some contact info or something. Or even pm me maybe if you're worried. Thank you, this could change many things.

I don't know any specific labs but I think a great place to start would be contacting local colleges and universities. They might have a physics/science department that is interesting in helping you out. I would look for the head of such department and send an email his way, maybe leave a voicemail if his contact number is available.

I second rawratl's suggestion, with one caveat:
On the off chance that this is some kind of free energy device, just don't.

Otherwise, good luck, and I hope you achieve your goal!

*EDIT: I am also doubtful about the prospects of a cold fusion generator, but that would be incredible, if that's what you're going for and it works.

Troll?

"We have tested this so we know it works"

Show me a PMID and I might bother reading it.

That's a misquote; they said "it's been tested before." Which makes me think they need a reputable lab to test it because everyone claims the previous tests were not credible. Which brought me to conspiracy theories, and the possibility that they think they can build a cold fusion device or free energy device.

Also, what the heck does a PMID have to do with this? Pubmed is only for biological/medical papers.

A college or university would most likely help you out if you allow physics/engineering students to observe your experiment. Also if you don't have anything to back your claim i.e a well written paper and a degree they will deny you on the spot. They wont care if it works or not.
