Yes, and it was because i was a tall white guy in a majority black and Hispanic school. The same kid would constantly talk shit to me trying to pick a fight in the middle of study hall till I stood up and he bolted. Btw my nickname in hs was "The Viking"

More than once. It's a part of life. Honestly I've been on the other side of it too. There have been some people who have just rubbed me the wrong way.

yes a lot actually. that`s because i don`t fit in any box that society has created to define people. also i am not much of a talker. maybe people think i dislike them, idk. i don`t care for random chats about dumb things.

I recently met someone at my work who seems to really dislike me for no particular reason at all. Luckily I have since moved on to a different department and don't run into him anymore.

Was curious to know if this has happened to anyone here. Has anyone hated you for literally no reason at all?

Only once and it was work as well. I started a new job and the other co-worker in the office just hated me right off the bat.

Never found out why.

It got to a point where we said Good Morning, Good Evening and only asked direct, specific questions.

The co-worker quit 11 months later. I didn't care, even thought it meant I had to do 2 jobs for 6 months until the company employed someone else.

It was bizarre. I've worked for agencies so I've been new in a lot of places. It's not like I don't know who to interact with new people in a professional setting.

Some people just won't like you. Your best bet is to minimise your interactions and be polite when you have to encounter them.

I have been on the opposite site of that equation once in my life .. The moment i meet this one guy i just instantly hated him ... he gave off this fake smile and just ... everything about him was fake ... i dont know what i saw in him but i hated that guy like a dog hates a burglar .. something wrong about him. Never felt that way about anyone since ... even people who are trying to be pricks lol I guess there was just something at the core of that persons personality i could not agree with.

I definitely have the same feeling but the problem is she`s my boss
I never had any bad or awkward moments with her but she gives me weird looks and stares at me if i want to speak up
we act professional but i can sense ill intentions from her all the time (fake smile and friendly )
she gave me credits when i first came she gave me 100 on my annual evaluation
she asked me to do a lot of stuff and i did then by the next year she gave me less on my evaluation saying i did not do anything in the past year and she did not see any activities from my side and wishes for more
I`ve been working harder than my starting days that shocked me how she gave me less
and she did not want to look me in the eye while telling me about my lack of activities
now i don`t know how to handle her
Sometimes she says no need to call me director just call me by my name (we are one team)
the other time she says you don`t respect me Nor do you think of me as your director and she even told me to watch my tone
Any ideas how to handle her ??

Yes, and no. For whatever reason they think they have, they still have those reason/s, even if they're not very good.

I know I'm not well liked at work by my equals in the position, and the fact is, I don't cater to their cattiness or play into any of the drama that comes up. I've never done that anywhere I went, and that has often rendered me a not very likeable type. Yet, I don't really care because, as I said earlier, they have their reasons even if they're not very good. They're the ones who end up looking foolish.

Yes! Actually, there's been quite a few people who literally say "I don't know why, I just don't like you"
there is actually this girl across from my store and she has talked so much crap about me (even though I only hung out with her once and it was cause she was friends with my now ex)..and now she says hey all the fucking time and It's so confusing because the one time I was around her she posted a shitty FB comment about me while I was 2ft away, rather than just telling me what was on her mind.

Either way, just ignore them. People who are so closed minded to judge someone before they knew them aren't even worth acknowledging.

For no reason, never. Just because I give off a negative vibe and am reserved by nature, many times. I assume some people just assume I'm being a mean idiot and antisocial. Sometimes it's true, most of the time it's not. It just happens when two people see the world differently, my normal behaviour seems abnormal to them.
