One of my faves is one called Dear Zachary - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DZlbA-8dRo

I don't want to say too much, but it's about how a man was murdered, and how his friends and family, handled each situation, from the beginning all through out the process as to why it happened, who did it, and it's just filled with raw emotion, to the point you will also feel there sadness, and anger. It's really good and the documentary was made by his best friend.

The Century of the Self https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ3RzGoQC4s

It's about the ways in which the "ushering" and study of the psychology of humans was used to influence and manipulate society on a large scale through media. It deals a lot with Sigmund Freud and his nephew Andrew Bernays in the first part and then continues to look at how it all unfolded. I thought it was interesting.

There is this insane documentary called The Imposter. It's about this kid who goes missing in Texas and then this random grown man in Spain claims he's the kid and lives with them for like a month before getting caught.

I was also going to say "The Imposter". I don't always like documentaries because I feel like they don't really do much interesting with film and storytelling, but The Imposter is directed very well and the it tells a story in a way which isn't as straightforward as most documentaries. I'll also give an honorable mention to "Exit Through the Gift Shop"

^ Exit Through the Gift Shop was pretty interesting.

Dear Zachary made me cry such angry, frustrated tears... And now you just reminded me of it.

Anyway, some favorites are: Samsara, Grizzly Man, Planet Dinosaur, and Cooked.

Men Who Built America, about billionaires in the late 1800s and early 1900s and how there wealth and power forever influenced the country. (Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, etc.)

I'll also add History of Mankind, about humanities technological and cultural advances from the hunter-gatherer community up to today.

I'm a sucker for history channel documentaries, they're damn good.
