Yeah, I think I'd feel the same. Everyone should have at least one imperfection to keep them humble.

It's hard to get used to hot oil hitting your skin. Get a job at a fast food place for a year or so and you should be able to take it. =P

....

I remember one time when we were little, my older sister was melting butter on the stove.. I can't remember what for but she turned to say something, still holding the pan handle and hot butter got all over my little sister's face. She still has the faintest of burn scars. Hot oil is a dangerous thing. Be wary.

When I was in 4th grade or so, I decided to make some sugar cookies...but for some reason I read 1 Tbsp of salt as 1 Cup!
I practically made potato chips rather than sugar cookies.
Now, I always read and re-read the ingredients to make sure I'm using the right amount of the right ingredient!

I remember another time when I was just suppose to warm up some macaronees with some hamsauce my mother had mad. I kinda forgot how long I warmed it up, so the macaronees totally lost it's shape, and the sauce with it didn't make it better. I think I had to much heat on the cooker too.
Anyways, when I was gona eat it, I took a bite and thought... hmm, this kinda tastes good!
But after 2 more bites, I thought:
OMFG, who am I trying too fool? then I throw it away lol ;D

I made icing for brownies once.. And it ended up for some unknown reason tasting absolutely horrible.
I have no idea what went wrong. >.<
The brownies were gross too, maybe because I wasn't used to using a friend's kitchen. >.<!!

So I guess this isn't a disaster, but it was kinda gross. Funny, but gross....

As a teenager, I used to go fishing frequently. Sometimes I would use Velveeta cheese as bait.

One day, I decided to make our family's version of Goolash for dinner. Easy--ground beef, macaroni, stewed tomatoes and velveeta. There was only one half-block of Velveeta in the back of the fridge, so I used it. When we sat down to eat, mom asked where I found the Velveeta because we were out of it. I told her it was in the back of the fridge. Her face turned green. She had taken my left-over Velveeta from the last fishing excursion and popped it into a ziplock, then stuck it...you guessed it. In the BACK OF THE FRIDGE. The same velveeta I used my worm-gutty pocket knife to cut.

That goolash sure did taste good until that point.....<shudder>
