Me and my brother both like anime, but he always tries to hide it from me. Instead of watching it on TV, we watch anime on separate devices. I think if I start watching it on the TV we could watch it without trying to compete; competition sucks the fun out of everything. The only problem is that watching anime on TV might be awkward.

Should I:
1. Continue to watch anime on my laptop and accept the situation as it is.
2. Watch anime on the TV.
3.Suggestions

IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING MEAN TO SAY, EITHER TO ME OR TO ANYONE ELSE, THEN DON'T POST AT ALL.

Why would watching anime on tv be awkward?

I don't know.

You can only affect so much how another person thinks, and I agree that there is nothing inherently awkward with watching on tv...

Just bosh it on the TV. It's no big deal.

Yup, just sit down in front of the tv, turn on some anime and see if he walks in and sits down to watch also. It's a good icebreaker even when it comes to people you don't know given the right anime (no hentai).

I actually don't understand your issue here

I can think of three possible causes for this:

1. You are watching subtitled anime but one of you is able to read faster than the other. The slower reader likes to pause or rewind the episode when they miss some of the text, causing the other person to become irritated at the break in the flow.
2. One of you likes to watch the show in silence and concentrate on the show while the other likes to chat about what is on screen.
3. One of you has the habit of revealing spoilers about shows the other person hasn't seen and you have developed a habit of watching anime separately.

Without knowing the specific reason for your isolated viewing behaviour it is hard to give you advice on how to adjust it.

OP, when you say "anime" do you really mean "hentai"?
If not, watch it on the TV.
