So on the CR app, my videos keep playing on English. Does anyone know how I can change it to Japanese and English subs? Help would be much appreciated.

What show are you trying to watch, and are you on iOS or Android? Most (but not all) of CR's shows that have a dub, do also have a subtitled version. It shows up as if it were an additional season of a show. On the iOS interface there should be a menu for choosing season--I ran into one case where it was confusing because both the dub and sub were simply labeled "Season 1" -- but choosing the "other" Season 1 got me the subtitled version I wanted.

You didn't mention which series you are having this issue with, but it clearly isn't a simulcast, as those don't have dubs to begin with.

You also didn't mention which app(s), but I believe most of them work in the same way, in that if a series has dub, it is listed much as a different season is.

Let's take Toradora for example. If you pull it up on your app, you'll probably see 50 episodes, despite it being a 25 episodes series. That is because 25 are the dubbed version and the other 25 are the subtitled version.

I note if I add it to my queue, the dubbed episodes are the first in the queue. This means one would need to skip to the 26th one listed to begin with the episode 1 subtitled.
