I let a few typos slide, here and there. But run on sentences, horrendous grammar, constant misplaced punctuation and overall consistently terrible attempts to express simple statements make my brain rattle. What irks me the most are the people who CONSTANTLY do the above and blame it on "autocorrect". From my experience, you have the ability to adjust your own autocorrect settings (this device feature works just like a text/phrase expander) to accommodate lazy typing.

That's a very traditionalist point of view and desconsiders a lot of context, BUT okay. It is a standpoint after all.

Why yes, whatever you'd like to call it, it is my point of view.
By the way, what does "desconsiders" mean?

It is a latinism, apparently. Regarding it's meaning: "To not take on account something, ignore". As I said: I speak a romance language, so expect MANY of these "oddities" on my speech. LOL BTW, Cambridge online does not take this word on account, too. So, this means I will have to restrain myself from using it. XD

Edit: I confused portuguese and english spelling. The word is disconsider. See? That is because on portuguese "desconsiderar" is the correct form of it. Basic typo there.

Cool, I've learned something new. I was looking at it like it was French or Portuguese and couldn't put my finger on its definition.

You like languages. That is cool. And you know how to name romance languages. That's amazing.

I sure do! I'd like to be a polyglot like my grandfather one day, but it's nothing short of a tall order right now. I've been mixing up my languages lately.

How do you feel about typos? Do they really bother you when you see them or do you even notice them most of the time? Do you care enough to tell somebody they made a typo? Do you make a lot of typos?

When I read them I automatically correct them in my head. If there are a lot it can be harder to read. I also make some errors. If I have time and the will to do so, I come back and correct them later.

If I were to make a typo I would die as the typo would crush me as it falls from the sky.

Good thing i didn mak on

Well there is nothing wrong with being crushed by a giant typo falling from the sky.

As for my actual opinion

Typos are annoying sometimes I hate making them but I type too fast for my own thoughts to keep up.

There was a similar forum about bad grammar a while ago, and what I wrote there applies here. Most typos don't affect clarity, but too many typos evinces sloppiness. And in some cases one typo is too many.

Umm... Depends on the medium, guys. For a news outlet or any publication by a noted professional, it's kind of a big deal. Would I flip shit over a minor typo on a forum thread? Probably not, unless yuor gramar iz fukin haribul. I crie evertym den.

You know that what you said is nothing less than gold, don't you ? Just to add: grammar was a greek invention and it served solely to maintain the register of the language by the classics. Nothing less, nothing more. Also, as stated, maintaining the status quo on a language is key for communication.
