I have a problem that involves my thoughts. I don't think about it for it just comes out of nowhere. My thoughts sometimes get real bad like things that involve suicide and the death of a relative. And the thoughts are so realistic that I end up crying. Can some one tell me how do I stop these thoughts and dreams?

You're not the only one to have this problem, but I don't really have any solutions for you either. I manage okay because it's just flashes here and there, but if you find it gets really bad you might want to try mind relaxation techniques or see a psychologist.

It works well enough if I just concentrate on refocusing myself on whatever is in front of me: grass, the scenery out the car window, the people I'm standing next to, etc.

If you are having legitimate concerns for your mental well being. Should you not go through the proper channels of experts to assist you?

Not go to a forum and post something?

Yeah, I know but I don't have the funds to see a professional.

Seeking out someone, try to get on with your life?
Some of the thoughts you might "keep", but you could get something else to think about.

Chances are pretty good when you have to ask, 'Am I the only one?' you're not.

Can't say I've had thoughts pop up so intense that I've felt like crying. On rare occasions really vivid dreams. Thoughts and dreams in general aren't real, and so long as it's not interfering with your ability to function day-to-day it's okay to feel sad every now and again. What helps me to pull myself out of a funk is to throw myself into a task or some music to take my mind off of it.

I'd say it's less about funds and more just knowing how to reach out without assuming everything is going to cost money. Tones of help lines, web professionals. Start using the resources that are available to you. To be honest, it can be dangerous doing what you did. Your'e lucky trolls on Crunchyroll are not extreme.

You might want to see a psychiatrist if it's bad.

Many people have had success with 'Mindfulness' or 'Living in the Moment' This is just a brief guide that came up in a search: http://www.rd.com/health/wellness/10-steps-to-mindfulness/

I believe I can see the future
Cause I repeat the same routine
I think I used to have a purpose
But then again
That might have been a dream
I think I used to have a voice
Now I never make a sound
I just do what I've been told
I really don't want them to come around

Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here and there is no pain
Every day is exactly the same

I can feel their eyes are watching
In case I lose myself again
Sometimes I think I'm happy here
Sometimes, yet I still pretend
I can't remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end

I'm writing on a little piece of paper
I'm hoping someday you might find
Well I'll hide it behind something
They won't look behind
I'm still inside here
A little bit comes bleeding through
I wish this could have been any other way
But I just don't know, I don't know what else I can do

You never try anything new because you believe you've experienced everything that the world has to offer and because you follow the same old routine. You like fries, so you only eat fries. You only like orange juice, so you only drink orange juice. You like anime, so you only watch anime. You like first person console games, so you never try board games. Stop getting involved in forums and social media. Stop looking at comment sections. Whenever you see the sun, get out. Whenever you see a forest, crawl through it, and smell the scent of pollen. Put on sneakers, and take a step. Get wet. Change to boots, to stay dry. Start a camp fire, just for the sake of starting a camp fire. Bring sausages, and put them on the fire. See a giant rock, or a mountain? Climb it, just for the sake of finding out what the view is like from there. Whenever you see something you haven't tried yet, or something you haven't tried in a while... an activity, some food, or drink, do it, buy it. Have you tried white whine yet? Have you tried red whine yet? Have you tried mjød yet? Have you tried vodka tonic? What about gin tonic? Have you tried marshmallows? Have you tried fudge? Licorice? Chinese food? Mexican food? Indian food? You don't like it? Have you tried again, though? Is it a waste of money to try something new when you already know what you like? Shame for you then. You're never gonna try anything new then. You may have seen a photo of the Eiffel Tower, but have you ever been to Paris? Have you ever walked the streets? Do you think the traffic is the same as back home? Do you think the people are the same as back home? Have you ever been to a pub in London? In Ireland? In Scotland? Have you ever seen the architecture in Rome? In Venice? Have you ever walked through the amazing caves on Mallorca? What about Singapore? What's stopping you? Money? Is traveling between continents too expensive? Then what about in the U.S.? There are a great vast many sites in the U.S. that you can go see. You have grand canyons, grand dams, grand vulcanos, niagara falls, and that's not even half of it. Start making jokes about everything, and everyone. Go to the zoo, and see wolves, and lions, and snakes. Go to a comedy show... any comedy show. Take a bus or boat to nowhere and back again. Skip town, just for the sake of skipping town. Where did you go last week? I sat for six hours on a bus. Why? Because that was less boring than sitting at home. Stop random strangers in the street and say thank you for your time, then move on. Be pointless. Do pointless things. Because everything really is pointless. Stop trying to achieve things. Stop trying to be things. Just stop, and start experiencing things instead. New things. Anything.

Here's an idea... is there something in your home you're fed up with? When was the last time you painted the walls? When was the last time you put up a photo? When was the last time you made something with your hands, arts and crafts, instead of on your computer?

Computers, books, television, these things don't give you experiences. They give you the illusion of having experienced things. In reality you sit with no new information. No new experiences. Nothing. And you wonder why you're slowly dying on the inside. Your soul. Your being just disappears.

Go do some real shit for a change.

I don't have training in any of this, but this situation sounds something like intrusive thoughts:

They're not a fun thing, I can tell you. The people mentioning mindfulness are on the right track; if it bothers you enough, I'd reconsider looking into counseling.
