Crunchyroll has stated in the past that they were looking into fixing the issue of too much streaming traffic on their site causing videos to freeze halfway through or at random points in an episode. Yet the issue still keeps happening!

Videos are freezing, and reloading the page does nothing to fix the problem. It plays for a few more seconds, usually under a minute at a time from the point the video left off, and then freezes again. Sometimes, the video doesn't even start from where it was left off, and starts from the beginning again!

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

If there is anyone out there who has a better explanation as to what is going on and why this continues to happen even though Crunchyroll has said they would fix the issue, I'd greatly appreciate the help - along with all the other people who can't watch videos all the way through due to this broken system.

As for Crunchyroll: you need to fix this garbage for the people who pay for a premium account so that they CAN watch all of the shows provided without ads or any annoying hassles such as this! It's a waste of money if people can't stream the shows that they want to watch whenever they want to watch them! They aren't paying a monthly subscription fee so that the Crunchyroll staff can promise to stream shows only SOME OF THE TIME, and the rest of the time customers are left with choppy videos that freeze!

Been getting this all night today, and it is infuriating. I am coming to the end of my trial and if this is normal I will not be paying for the service.

A paid service should not have these issues, especially without any form of news post from the Crunchyroll team letting us know they are aware of the issue and fixing it.

This happens every once in a while. I've personally experienced the stopping and stuttering at least once a week for the 2 months I've been using CR Premium. They last anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours.

i would really like to see a post for this i have been getting it alot. after hard wiring my ps4's internet connection i still get this to the extent that ive thought of canceling my sub

Not sure where this is coming from. I've never had any issues with crunchy roll in ages. It was a lot worst back a couple years ago. So don't know what your talking about lol.

It's been happening to me for several months, and lately a new symptom has appeared. When it freezes, sometime the time counter is back to zero and after a reload I have to guess where it was when it froze. No other service freezes (Netflix, Amazon, Funimation, Youtube, many others).

Crunchyroll is doing that to me, too, and I'm a paying subscriber! This is reminding me of the bad old days when Crunchyroll did this all the time. Then my internet got upgraded and the problem stopped. But now it's starting again, so I guess my issues were with Crunchyroll all along.
