Probably the same reason I don't really like describing things as phallic, erect, or hard.

If its not OK to say the word "moist" around a female, can you say "I am going to get you wet!" shortly before throwing a water balloon at her? See what I said there....she got wet via water balloon, but it sounds awkward to say "I guess you got a little moist from thrown water"

Oh yes, those words have just ruined it for me. Coming, hard, back entrance, etc. Such innocent words getting F***ed once you get to know what sex is.

Haha, I'm a girl and I love that word....

It makes me giggle and I use it as often as I can...

For example"

When it's raining : "It's rather moist outside, isn't it?"

When it's a tad humid: "Moist today, eh?"
