I don't understand why when it's set up by crunchyroll near the end of an episode it ask you to skip to next. But if you ever try to rewatch your gonna be rewinding for hours. This has been a issue for me for years. I know when you rewatch a movie or show on Netflix it restarts it. Please change this for all the fans and supporters of Crunchyroll thanks!

One of the mods, beardfist wrote an (unofficial) extension for the chrome browser which has the functionality to reset a series or even individual episodes, among other additional functionality. You can read about it here: /group/Beardfists_Programming_Corner

Otherwise, you can visit the /home/history page and click the "clear history" button found there, but be warned, that resets everything, including all your current progress on any series, including simulcasts.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with this feature. Personally I find it useful as it prevents me from re-watching the same episode multiple times.

But I'm pretty sure ChrunchyRoll has a feature that helps you get around your problem.

If you enable AutoPlay then you only have to reset for the first episode only. As the next video will obviously Auto load from the beginning.

I hope this helps alleviate your constant re-wind and accidental spoilers when re-watching any anime on this site.

I was just going to post some comment about this.

Nope. Still starts in the middle of one episode (because i rewatched only one scene from it a while back).

This wouldn't be as much of an issue if the player's search function was more precise, or more consistent. It seems completely impossible to get to 00:00 just by clicking on the progress bar. Whenever i try to click exactly on 0 nothing happens and the episode just keeps playing. It seems like the only real option is to jump to a few seconds after 0. I don't know what that is about.

Maybe it would be possible to have a button for each episode to start it from the begining. Or, perhaps simpler, there could be an option to "forget history for this series". That should completely solve the problem for rewatching.

The Chrome extension that asharka linked to adds this functionality.

Not that I disbelieved you but, I couldn't believe that the AutoPlay feature would be that stupid and useless. So yeah I tried it out with a recent series that I've just finished watching "Orange". I paused episode 1 which was remembered at the end of the episode and went back to 0:00 (which it did fine) played it just to register the episode as being watched and Enabled AutoPlay, Paused it again and took it to the end of the episode then played so that the AutoPlay feature would start counting down. It took longer than usual to initalize the next episode which also started at the end.

Absolutely ridiculous. I can understand it remembering for 1 episode at a time but if AutoPlay is on it should assume you want to start a new.

What I have found out is that there is a limit on how many episodes it can remember as all my older episodes started from the beginning of each episode with or without Autoplay enabled.

Which is probably why Ive not come across this problem before as I digest Anime by the thousands and rarely get time to watch something muliple of times ( Mushishi Zoku Shou and Berserk: The Golden Age, are the exceptions to that rule)
