I'd say probably around 25 to 30 percent.

I like playing as a female in MMOs. In most games you have to have a weiner by default so its pretty nice being able to be the gender/sex you identify with.

Hmm probably like 10-20%, but really depends on the game. In TERA I feel like 99% of the players are guys lol, although I hear the gender balance is not as skewed in FF14.

With MMOs it depends on the game which gender my avatar is. Usually I just roll male, but in TERA wasn't a huge fan of the male characters lacking outfits and gear options so most of my characters are female. That being said I've never actually Role played, I just play MMOs when I'm burnt out from work and I want to turn my brain off and do something mindless for a bit

Eh a lot of guys will believe I am a 15 year old boy when I try and tell them such. I think the 50/50 is about right! But I was definitely a girl who used runescape for free shit! Christmas hats and junk...

I wish every MMO had the option to choose a trap as your avatar. Basically you look just as girly as any of the female characters, but you're still a dude. Then again, in fiction and art what really is the difference between a girl and a boy drawn like a girl? (maybe lacking in obvious female attributes like breasts but you still wouldn't know they were male).

I'd say around 20-25% of the female characters are girls. Depends on the game though.

I known a few actual girls in MMO's via teamspeak.

For everyone else though I treated the player the same gender as the character unless they told me otherwise. And didn't care either way as it was possibly the least important part of the player.

I've also had male and female characters and I never got more or less attention as either unless I noobed enough to be noticed (and some days I could noob with the best... or worst)

Somewhat likely or about 50/50 and it also depends on the game or classes. Some girls prefer more girly characters like Ragnarok's Wanderer classes, the girliest classes in the game.

I go back and forth. All my MMO characters are concept characters so gender is often part of that concept,

to find someone with both the looks and persona of the MMO character would be so rare you'd have more luck in winning the mega-millions lotto not once but way past 1/1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 of a chance so slim to none lol.... however if it were one or the other the possibility skyrockets to like 1/28,000,000,000 (28 billion) of a chance if possible

I'm a woman that plays female characters in MMOs, but I do have a male alt for roleplaying purposes. I prefer to have my character match me in games as far as biological gender goes. My main game is Final Fantasy 14, and I love it. A good chunk of the player base on there is female, about 40% if what my server's demographics are indicative of.
