Woo! Hurrah! Wowzah! Congratulations! Seriously! It's not like we will ever find some NEW TECHNOLOGY or other thing! That's not how humanity works! We've always been trapped at this current technology level forever! FOR EV ER.

Seriously. Stop this bad science. Stop this Chicken Little crap.

It was probably done to curb irresponsibility and force people to action, instead of relying what come 10 years too late. It is not wise to act on so called foreknowledge, that's one of the reasons we're in the mess in the first place.

It doesn't help that all of the "Science" that was posted here is pseudo-geology. As someone who worked on environmental geochemistry for his senior project... I can say both the graph provided by the American Flag avatar guy and OP are both horridly skewed.

Our global carbon cycle has been sped up by a few million years right now. Yes, it cycles normally, but we are speeding up the cycle. If we keep this up, a few thousands to hundred thousands of years we will have another ice age and all that fun stuff.

I would link the research papers of carbon analysis of polar icecap cores... but no one on CR would actually want to read articles on this subject! After all, global warming is an invention made by the Chinese!

There is no point of no return when it comes to this until the moment that humans literally die.

Na. Just use Google Scholar. I have my University library, so I can not share those. Google Scholar has a large amount of both free and paid papers. One of them was linked on page 2.

Done by Steele, showing a rapid increase in CO2 over the last few thousand years. Was the first paper I read before I started my senior project. A warm up if you will.

That was a bad accidental pun. I am sorry.

Edit: I suggest searching "Carbon dioxide levels in Polar Ice Caps"

That is a good opening search, as ice caps have the most accurate record. The ones that are measured millions of years ago are a much harder, and less accurately measured. In fact, I would argue (and many do!) that measuring CO2 levels in anything other than air bubbles in ice is pure guess work.

That is why I don't agree with Wagner et.al. I do like much of Wagners work though.

The one you linked on the page 2 wanted to be paid for, but I will try to see what Google Scholar has at some point.

Did it? It must be because I accessed it on a University VPN. I guess I will delete that post if someone else can confirm it.

Also, check the edit to the post I gave you.

There is very little time left for us anyway. Think about death often, it will give your life urgency.

And you know what is fun once you read a research paper? Going to their resources and reading the people's paper they cited!

I have a 79 GB folder of just research papers I have read and need to read. Only a few thousand of them!

Yeah, I can confirm it is behind a paywall. They appear to make allowances for universities, so that is most likely how you're getting through.

Many thanks. I edited the post. Will finish cleaning it up later.

Also, I get a lot of free resources for being on a University. One, I get free Fox/ESPN streaming wooo!

Second, and my love it all of the free education tools. I am downloading all of the research papers I can while I have the time. I want to own ALL OF THEM! May never use them... But I sure as hell use a lot!

As a side note: Google Scholar. If you ever want to have an educated debate, instead of plugging it into google and getting that dirty pseudo science, or the rare real gem... Go there. Very well (professional) written papers there. Also, makes you much more credible.
