1. Naruto - Honestly, the plot isn't even original or that good. I have no idea why it's so popular.

2. Vampire Knight - It's cool and all, but people act like it's the epitome of shoujo when it doesn't even come close to the influence Hana Yori Dango or Peach Girl have had on modern day shoujo manga....

3. Bleach - Had great potential during the first two storylines (Sub Shinigami/Rescue Rukia) but it all went to garbage when Tite Kubo magically forgot how to make a good plot.

4. Death Note - It's no Bloody Monday

Hmm... can't/don't want to name any because it might make a fan of that angry or something. Maybe someday...

When I reed most overrated anything I think "bashing something I don't like that other people do you." *shrugs* Also Naruto is popular because of character design artwork, characters, and techniques. Also forgot its very influential and even made oda step up his story and art work who has even said so himself. As for death note just one letter will due L. Edit: talks about his problems with the Naruto but says death note is over rated when it has a "good story and is original."

Like exactly what happened with my post!

Like, One Piece is my fave, for example, but I know it's overrated. I'm not gonna be delusional about it.

That's was me being nice and also none of those are in my top 25 manga but I still respect them. O and for Naruto they have some of the best fights I don't think that's even a debate and people love their action.

I do agree that Naruto is over rated but Naruto does do a good job at developing Naruto as a character. We get a character that had nothing, was hated by everyone and see him progress and the attitude around him and his peers change respective to his character growth changes. The world is also pretty well developed with the jutsu and element and stuff. The anime also animate some of the fight really well.

With that being said, there are also flaws with Naruto. WIth Substitution jutsu being an ability that can ass pull any situation and many character make idiotic decision for no reason (pretty much ever female character). Some people also think the character are bunch of whiney children.

My Number 1 over rated is Fairy Tail. This series frustrates me every time. The random power up due to friend ship and trying to make any situation serious when we ALL know that nobody is going to die, even the bad guys. I would be able to put up with it since the character are very lovable but the fact that every villain they fight come back to help them later just baffles my mind. It makes me question these villain as to why they were a villain in the first place when their resolves were that weak to be swayed by a few words.

I would say Naruto, though I have yet to see how manga with 600+ chapters and 100+ characters would be considered very creative. I also say that all of Rumiko Takahashi's manga are overrated except for Urusei Yatsura. I like Rurouni Kenshin too, but it's overrated as hell. I don't read Vampire Knight, but what's so good about it anyway?

Another manga that I find overrated is Yona of the Dawn. Because one, Mizuho Kusanagi's art isn't something that I would consider aesthetically pleasing and two, the story is too simple for me.

While Haikyuu! is adequete, I still find the volleyball matches over the top and the story itself is as typical as some other sports shounen: guy joins sports, guy trains in sport, competes in sport, guy spots a rival in sport, guy becomes better at particular sport. Why else is it overrated? because the volleyball matches take too long to progress (which is why I mentioned over the top) just as much as the fights take too long to progress in Dragon Ball. Also, the characters in this series are too simple for me.

Rumiko Takahashi has a lot of overrated series, but I will say that Meison Ikkoku is amazing. I kinda wish she'd do more Seinen love stories like it.

I will agree on that. My fave arc was the rescue Sasuke one from Part I with the sound ninja 4 (or 5 counting Kimimaro) just because there wasn't one boring fight. Neji vs Kidomaru was EVERYTHING!

I think the manga with the best fights, though, would probably be Dragon Ball.
