Christ, so they're taking fresh spring water away from a town during a drought so they can sell it overseas and the mountain in question also happens to be a sacred site on top of that? Did they bulldoze a puppy orphanage to build the bottling plant?

Ms. Porter blamed Mr. Hall, the city councilor, and others in the city for casting Roseburg in a bad light.

This also happened in India with Coca Cola. The company was taking all the villages water for their bottling plant, leaving none for the farmers. Coke has had the same charges laid against them from lots of developing countries who are too scared to take them on until it is publicised widely.

There's a great SciFi book called the Water Knife that deals with 'water wars' in the USA.
