Do you think Blizzard will continue the Diablo series. Would this be in the form of a remake of Diablo II or continuation, so Diablo IV? What would you rather. Will you also be playing Season 8 when it comes out for Diablo III?

I guess you can also post your overall thoughts on Diablo in this thread as well.

Been some time. 2 re-make. Possibly season. I like the exchange between life and game

Considering the complete hash that they made of Diablo III, I think it is very possible that within the next 25 years Diablo IV will blow that fiasco out of the water. I just hope that they find a writer who is as absolutely great as Diablo II's writer, because Diablo III was awful.

Yeah Diablo III most certainly didn't have that feeling of dread and doom compared to when I was playing Diablo II. The story was also pretty shit, the expansion made Diablo III better though. I just miss the awesome other prime evils (Screw Diablo).

Yeah I reckon a remake of 2 would be fantastic.

I've been an avid fan of D2:LoD since its release, and I think D3 managed to capture the atmosphere of its predecessors perfectly.

My only grievances would be

that I feel disconnected from the community / other players. The game is missing that old Battle.Net IRC menu that allowed you to see your own character, as well as everyone else who was in your channel. Maximum number of players in a game has been reduced, so now it's just you and 3 other players, and you are, for some reason, trying your best to not bump into each other, because the game is focused on plowing through monsters quicker than you can pick up loot. God forbid you take a rest in town, because while monsters are now twice as difficult to kill-- you take up an XP buff slot. And, boosting used to take a whole day to complete, and so you really appreciated it when someone took the time to boost you, and you got into actual conversations and befriended people.

and, that the game feels over-simplified, most likely to appease to console users. Stats, stat points, skill points, available skills on hotbar. It is rather ridiculous. If you take a second to think about what primary stats (strength, dexterity, intelligence) actually do, you will come to realize that they only serve as illusions to make you feel as though they still have some kind of purpose like they did in D2.

I will continue to play seasons to increase my stash tabs, but beyond that I'm done with the game. I've always played Demon Hunter, but now that my main Demon Hunter is fully equipped in ancient gear and level 70+ gems (soloed all the way), and I've realized that it's far easier to boost through greater rifts on Crusader, I'm gonna go with Crusader next time around.
